Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

The first field trip of Flora Cumanensis took place two weeks ago. It was a short trip to our nearest National Park. The idea of these trips is to understand the basic concept of Botany. All these will be then translated into some artistic expression. Of course, the photos could not be away from the experience. There's plenty to see among flowers, trees, roots and more.

My highlight of the trip has to be learning about roots. We love flowers, leaves and fruits. But roots are often forgotten. Some of them show a bit above the ground. Beneath the earth, away from eyes, they do a lot for the tree. They are anchors, mouths, communication devices, explorers, defenders and else. They job of a root is overlooked. But a tree cannot live without them. In return, when the photosynthesis takes places, roots get their due. They feed the tree, but don't feed themselves. It's just amazing.

I've got plenty to write about roots and plants in general. Hopefully, this experience will end in my first poetry book. I'll keep my hands busy writing drafts of poems alongside the whole experience. Also, I think we began our road or wonders on the right track being marveled by roots. Now, all plants look far more interesting than just pretty colors, aromas and fruits.

¡Bueno día, amantes de las fotografías en blanco y negro!

La primera salida del taller Flora Cumanensis tuvo lugar hace dos semanas. Fue un paseo corto a nuestro Parque Nacional más cercano. La idea de estas salidas es entender lo básico de conceptos Botánicos que luego se conventirán en expresionas artísticas. Claro, las fotos no se puede quedar atrás en esto. Hay mucho que ver entre flores, árboles, raíces y más.

Mi interés de la salida estuvo en aprender más sobre todo lo que hace una raíz, Amamos las flores, hojas y frutos. Las raíces son fáciles de olvidar. Algunas se muestran con timidez sobre el suelo. Abajo, en otro mundo, hacen mucho por cualquier planta. Son bocas, vías de comunicación, exploradoras, defensoras, anclas y más. Su trabajo se da por sentado. Solo que ningún árbol puede vivir sin ellas. A cambio, cuando se hace la fotosíntesis, las raíces reciben lo que les corresponde. Ellas alimentan al árbol, pero no se alimentan solas. Está relación es bellísima.

Tengo mucho que escribir sobre las plantas y las raíces en general. Con algo de trabajo y suerte, esta experiencia terminará en mi primer poemario. Me mantendré ocupado escribiendo borradores de poemas sobre toda la experiencia del taller. Además, me parece acertado comenzar este viaje maravilloso por el inicio, la base. La raíz. Ahora todas las plantas son mucho más interesantes por sus colores, aromas y frutos.
