Monomad Challenge | The Elegance of Rocky

Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

This morning started really slow. I have had problems with my sleep cycles. It is not like I cannot fall asleep. The problem is keeping myself asleep until the alarm goes off. It seems like my brain wants to take long naps and that's it. So I have been waking up at weird hours before dawn and cannot get back to sleep. This repeats every day.

Today, I wanted to stay in bed even when the alarm had already rung. I was there taking in the fact that my cycle might go back to normal someday. Anyways, I went for a walk even when I knew it was going to be a short one. My idea was taking some photos of something interesting. The early hours after dawn have enough light to take photos of basically anything. And I found pure gold.

Rocky is this Siberian Husky that lives in a house by the end of my street. I do not see him often. Sometimes its owner let's him go outside and spend sometime doing its thing. So he will wander off and smell trees and pee on things and then go back and sit by the front of his house until the door gets opened again.

I found him by chance at the end of his stroll. He is quite friendly. And I stood by his side for a moment until it dawned on me that I had the perfect model for photos. Of course, I cannot make him do anything else than being himself. However, Rocky is an elegant dog. And that is more than enough to take some good photos. He is also black and white, so it serves him right to run the filter.

So a bad start of the morning turned out into the amazing chance to meet Rocky once more. I gotta say it was worth it!
