Monomad Challenge | Old Dogs Are Elegant
There is something about this dog that always gets my attention. I do not think it has anything to do with it being old, but I might be mistaken.
I think it has to do with the frailty of life. Maybe there's something about the dog being outside in the porch waiting for something to happen. It gets up to watch if any other dogs get close. I might be the only person that comes around to pet it. I have listened to it growl when others get near. It seems to be territorial.
The attraction must come from the fact that it is something that will not be around every day. The dog might pass away sooner or later and the house will appear empty. I will not listen to its panting nor see its smile or its white face coming out of the bars. Then who will get some photos? There are no other goldens around. Not well-behaved at least.
I guess it is all about having a new subject to take photos. As many as it wants until he gets tired and wants to lay flat on the floor and get another nap. Old dogs rest a lot. I wonder what it was like when it was younger. Maybe the dog was all full of energy. It might still be, but years have taken its told and it cannot do the same things it once did. I guess this is a reflection of life itself.
Maybe it is just because it is beautiful.
