Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

It's been a long time since I took the chance to photograph someone's hands at work. It was a series in my blog where I would do just that. I'm on the series, my mom is there as well and some other people I know and have seen working with their hands in different crafts.

This session was of my friend Fiorella trying to braid the hair of another fiends, Elio. I did not know they were doing this until I arrived at the makeup store and then saw them doing this thing. It was funny.

In the end, she could do the braids as Elio's hair was a bit too short at the ends. It sound weird looking at his nane of hair. But it happens. So she could not finish the job. However, I did see her do all the other work. She untangled the hair. Applied a product to moisturize it. Then parted the hair in sections. It was not until she tried to make the first braid that the realization came. The end of the hair was a bit too short. The braid looked fine at the beginning but became a mess towards the end.

She stopped the process and unbraided the portion of hair she had already done. Then they discussed about how much time it would take for Elio's hair to be on the right length to attempt this again. It was interesting to see. Not only did the hands at work did their magic, but it was also the knowledgeable about how long the hair should be. How to part it in sectors. How to untangle it. Working with hair is another interesting craft.

Hopefully, I will be there when they try the next attempt at braiding Elio's hair. And next time, it will end with some nice-looking braids.

Photographing people's hands is a really interesting series, especially when they are doing something, it becomes very striking. Excellent photographs!
