Blue Art Exposition 🔵

Hello there, Hivers!

One of the coolest things I have the chance to do while being a teacher is attending other teacher's showcases. This time it was all about art. While I teach Academic Writing, there are other instructors in the academic focused on several other skills, ranging from painting, drawing, photography, excel, photoshop and many other things.

Yesterday, we had the chance to have a glimpse at the amazing work the art teacher has been doing with all the kids that fall in the tag of neurodiversity. It is a challenge working with these kids. Especially if you have so many and need to find ways to give them the attention required. However, this art exposition shows the progress of the kids in an amazing way.

As you can see the styles vary from traditional pencil realism to more abstract art going through pop art and so on. Of course, not every kid in his class is a neurodivergent person, but the mix of students keeps a balance in place. I do not know what are the challenges of teaching so many students like that. In my time as a teacher, there has only been a handful of these students in my classes. Most of them had some diagnosis and also some work that had been done from years so they could live a better life.

Anyways, having a chance to look at the works of these students gives you some hope for the future. Maybe a lot of them will find their calling through art. Regardless of their choice, this art exposition was amazing!
