I'm reading Riders of the Purple Sage at the moment, which is set in Utah. Nice to see these photos while I'm reading the book.

Nice. What part of Utah does the book take place?

Deep in the south, in what is described as wild border territory. There are many descriptions of the vast plains covered with tall sage and the miles of deep canyons. Its set in 1871 and first published in 1912.
