Show me A photo contest round 280 | A lucky encounter with a House Crow

Hello Feathered Friends community!

Today I'm happy to participate again in Show Me A Photo Contest Round 280 organized by @nelinoeva with a photograph that turned into a memorable moment.

It happened after several days of hot summer weather, when we finally got some rain. It gave us cool weather and wonderful, dark clouds. I completed my work and raced to the roof of my office building in order to have fresh air and capture an image for the current week's competition.

To my surprise, however, I was not alone there.

There was already a House Crow on the roof, seemingly waiting for me to arrive. It did not fly away right away but stayed close enough to allow me to take its picture. There was even a feeling of some sort of mutual understanding for a couple of seconds.

Then came the best part.

I was already taking a few photos of the sky when the crow suddenly decided to fly. I instantly focused on it and took a burst shot using my iPhone 12. Among all the pictures this picture turned out to be the best. Sun rays passing through the clouds behind made the photograph look more beautiful, and I feel glad that I could take such a photograph.

My Entry

No major editing has been done. Only a couple of changes were made to improve the lighting and contrast using the iPhone’s editing function without changing the natural appearance of the picture.

Photography, for me, is all about patience and timing. In many cases, nature provides one just a second to get that perfect shot, and I had the opportunity to do that today.

I really hope that you enjoy these pictures as much as I have enjoyed making them. Thank you for visiting and wishing all participants good luck in the contest this week!
