Sequence of photos of my friend the seagull | My entry for the MONOMAD challenge

Those days in Chile were good for too much. One of those things was the possibility to observe the seagulls closely. That's why in this participation for the #monomad challenge of the day, I bring you one of them.

There were several days when I sat in that hotel pool or on the beach to capture their movements, their flights, to listen to their sounds, which I only keep in my memory because they cannot be represented in photos.

But this time, I found not only a seagull, but rather a very curious and friendly being who that afternoon chatted with me, with my parents, with a family in front of ours and with a man who leaned out of the balcony to give cookies to the bird.

Slowly I moved to where the pigeon was and it, instead of flying away, watched me, and slowly began to approach the little piece of food that was on the floor waiting for it.

I had strategically placed myself there so that I could take the photos as close as possible and to my surprise, it worked.

Aquellos días en Chile sirvieron para demasiado. Una de esas cosas fue la posibilidad de observar con detenimiento a las gaviotas. Por eso en esta participación para el #monomad challenge del día, les traigo a una de ellas.

Fueron varios los días en que me senté en aquella pileta del hotel o en la playa para capturar sus movimientos, sus vuelos, para escuchar sus sonidos, los cuales solo guardo en mi memoria porque no pueden representarse en fotos.

Pero esta vez, encontré no solo a una gaviota, sino más bien un ser muy curioso y amigable que aquella tarde conversó conmigo, con mis padres, con una familia frente a la nuestra y por un señor que se asomaba por el balcón para darle galletas al ave.

Despacio me desplacé hasta donde se encontraba la paloma y ella, en lugar de salir volando, me observó, y lentamente empezó a acercarse al pedacito de comida que estaba en el piso esperándola.

Yo me había ubicado allí estratégicamente para poder tomar las fotos lo más cerca posible y para mi sorpresa, funcionó.
