One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL places in the world is in the Balearic Islands: Ses Illetes Beach

Hello dear hivers!!! I hope you are having a wonderful day! This time I will be sharing with you an extremely beautiful walk, and it is about my visit to Ses Illetes Beach.

This walk took literally a whole day and the amount of photos I have exceeds 500, so I have decided to categorize the images so that none of them get lost.

There really is a lot of richness in them and if I show you all 500 at once, all that will happen is that you will only pay attention to 10 or 15. Anyway, this post itself includes too many parts of my walk, so you will see that it is in a kind of chapters post, so you can enjoy it. The images will be more striking than any writing that may accompany this adventure, so I will try to be concrete.

It is worth mentioning that this is the freshest material I have. There is still a lot in the archive to take you for a walk and to think about, but I am so full of beautiful energy after this visit, that I want to share with you this feeling and enjoy the place a little bit more, even if it is just for pictures.

Uno de los lugares MÁS HERMOSOS del Mundo está en las Islas Baleares: Playa de Ses Illetes

Hola queridos hivers!! Espero que estén pasando un día maravilloso!! En esta oportunidad estaré compartiendo con ustedes un paseo extremadamente bello, y se trata de mi visita a la Playa de Ses Illetes.

Este paseo duró un día entero literalmente y la cantidad de fotos que tengo excede las 500, por lo que he decidido categorizar las imágenes para que ninguna se pierda.

Realmente hay mucha riqueza en ellas y si les muestro las 500 de golpe, todo o que pasará es que sólo prestarán atención a 10 o 15. De todas maneras, este mismo post incluye demasiadas partes de mi paseo, por lo que verán que está en una especie de capítulos el post, para que puedan disfrutarlo. Las imágenes serán más impactantes que cualquier escrito que pueda acompañar a esta aventura, por lo que intentaré ser concreta.

Cabe mencionar que este es el material más fresco que tengo. Todavía hay en el archivo mucho por donde llevarlos a pasear y a pensar, pero estoy tan repleta de hermosa energía tras esta visita, que quiero compartir con ustedes esta sensación y disfrutar del lugar un ratito más, aunque sea por fotos.

Departure from the Port of Ibiza

My colleague at work told me that she did not recommend going to Formentera, which is where this beach is located. She told me that the passage was very expensive and that the walk was so long that it was more to suffer than to enjoy.

When she told me I thought: this girl doesn't know how much I like trekking. I must be a masochist, but as I had 4 days off, I used them to find out and plan my visit to Formentera.

I got tickets for Friday April 12 and the cost was € 30 round trip. I bought the tickets online and with the QR code ready, I had my visit to the island.

The ferry, which was a low cost, left at 9:15 in the morning and took 55 minutes to get from one island to another.

Well, I didn't tell them. Formentera is like a continuation of Ibiza. Ibiza is the island in the west of the Balearic Islands. We have Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca.

Formentera is very small, so much so that you can walk around it for 4 days. It is a much more natural island, with enough tourism but without so much fuss as it can be found in Ibiza.

Mi compañera del trabajo me dijo que no me recomendaba ir a Formentera, que es donde se encuentra esta playa. Me dijo que el pasaje era muy costoso y que la caminata era tan larga que era más lo que se sufría que lo que se disfrutaba.

Cuando me lo dijo pensé: esta chica no sabe lo que a mí me gustan los trekkings. Será de masoquista, pero como tuve 4 días libres, los utilicé en averiguar y planificar mi visita a Formentera.

conseguí pasajes para el día viernes 12 de abril y el costo fue de € 30 de ida y vuelta. Compré los pasajes por internet y con el código QR listo, ya tenía mi visita a la isla.

El ferry que era un low cost, salió a las 9:15 de la mañana y demoró 55 minutos en llegar de una isla a otra.

Bueno, no les comenté. Formentera es como una continuación de Ibiza. Ibiza es la isla que se encuentra en el oeste del conjunto de las Islas Baleares. Tenemos Ibiza, Mallorca y Menorca.

Formentera es muy pequeña, tanto que se puede dar la vuelta a la misma caminando tranquilamente durante 4 días. Es una isla mucho más natural, con bastante turismo pero sin tanto alboroto como puede encontrarse en Ibiza.

A breakfast for the hike

Google Maps insisted that in less than an hour I would arrive at Ses Illetes from the Port of Formentera, but my partner had told me it would take 4 hours, while my ex-boss had said that in 2 hours or 1:30 hours I would be there.

I left home without breakfast and got hungry as soon as I got off the ferry, so I went to the first coffee shop I saw open, called Café Arte.

I ate a croissant with ham and cheese and accompanied it with an orange juice. From there, I headed steadily north towards the beach.

Google Maps insistía en que en menos de una hora yo llegaría a Ses Illetes desde el Puerto de Formentera, pero mi compañera me había dicho que demoraría 4 horas, mientras que mi ex jefe había dicho que en 2 horas o en 1:30 horas estaría allí.

Salí de casa sin desayunar y me dio hambre ni bien bajé del ferry, así que fui a la primera cafetería que vi abierta, llamada Café Arte.

Comí un croissant con jamón y queso y lo acompañé de un jugo de naranja. De allí, emprendí camino firme hacia el norte, hacia la playa.

The 4 hour walk

Friends, it took me a little less than an hour to get from the Port of Formentera to Ses Illetes, hehe. And in the middle I stopped to take the pictures you are seeing.

Yes it is a hard walk because there is practically no shade. This is not something that can be done in the middle of summer at 12 noon because it can end in serious problems of dehydration or sunstroke, unless you carry an umbrella to protect.

In case you go in summer, it has to be until 11 o'clock, but take into account the return.

Now... I walked because I don't have a car here, I don't ride a motorcycle and I didn't feel safe on the bike, but come on there were only two other people walking, the rest were on some means, especially on motorcycles or bicycles.

Along the trail there are a lot of very friendly lizards that hide as soon as they hear the sound of one's footsteps.

The land is quite dry and does not seem to be very fertile.

There are salt flats and signs everywhere indicating that the area is protected.

Las 4 horas de caminata

Amigos, demoré algo menos de una hora en llegar del Puerto de Formentera a Ses Illetes, jeje. Y eso que en el medio me detuve a sacar las fotos que están viendo.

Sí que es una caminata dura porque prácticamente no hay sombra. Esto no es algo que pueda hacerse en pleno verano a las 12 del mediodía porque puede terminar en serios problemas de deshidratación o insolación, salvo que lleves una sombrilla para proteger.

En caso de ir en verano, tiene que ser hasta las 11, pero tener en cuenta la vuelta.

Ahora… yo caminé porque no tengo auto aquí, no ando en moto y no me sentía segura en la bicicleta, pero vamos que solo habían otras dos personas caminando, el resto andaba en algún medio, en especial en motos o en bicicletas.

A lo largo del sendero hay una gran cantidad de lagartijas muy simpáticas que se van escondiendo ni bien escuchan el sonido de los pasos de uno.

La tierra está bastante seca y pareciera no ser demasiado fértil.

Hay salitres y hay carteles por todos lados indicando que la zona está protegida.

Ses Illetes

Ses Illetes is located in the Natural Reserve Las Salinas. The sea is so crystalline that it is so exciting.

I have been blessed to know the Caribbean Sea. When I was 9 years old I visited Cancun in Mexico and when I was 25 I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. An impressive dream, but the color of this water is so much clearer, it almost looks like crystal clear water!

To get to Ses Illetes itself, those who go in any type of vehicle, must leave it about 400 meters away, at the entrance of that part of the park. And then you have to walk.

You see one part of the sea, then another, then a mound of rocks in the middle invites you to climb a little, and there you see the magic.

The famous sector where the Mediterranean Sea almost meets, where the waves face each other, where it seems that Moses himself was opening the waters, there is Ses Illetes.

Ses Illetes se encuentra en la Reserva Natural Las Salinas. El mar es tan cristalino que llega a emocionar.

He tenido la bendición de conocer el Mar Caribe. A mis 9 años visité Cancún en México y a los 25 fui a Punta Cana en República Dominicana. Un sueño impresionante, pero el color de este agua es mucho más clara, es que casi que parece cristalina por completo!!

Para llegar a Ses Illetes propiamente, quienes van en cualquier tipo de vehículo, deben dejarlo a unos 400 metros de distancia, al ingreso de esa parte del parque. Y luego hay que caminar.

Vas viendo una parte del mar, luego otra, luego un montículo de rocas en el medio te invita a escalar un poco, y allí se ve la magia.

El famoso sector en donde casi se une el Mar Mediterráneo, allí donde las olas se enfrentan unas a otras, allí donde parece que el mismísimo Moisés estuviese abriendo las aguas, allí está Ses Illetes.

I fell in love with that beach, I walked, I went into the water although I didn't even have a towel, I contemplated how almost the sky and the sea seemed to be united, I observed the peace that the seagulls carried when flying, I stopped my gaze on the small islets that seemed like mirages in the middle of the sea, I lost myself in the different boats that floated and moved as in an infinite celestial mantle.

I felt that time stopped. At this moment I remember that and I really feel that I went to another dimension.

Everything I saw was pure magic.

Ses Illetes, if you visit Ibiza, it is NECESSARY that you go to this place, it is an experience from another planet but in this same world.

Recommendations besides being careful with the temperature:
Check the weather, it will be good if you get a sunny day.
Visit it in spring, they say that winter helps to clean it and the water looks as it is, crystal clear. It seems that tourism in summer pollutes the water with boats and although it is still beautiful, it is not the same.

Me enamoré de esa playa, caminé, me metí al agua aunque no tenía ni toalla, contemplé cómo casi el cielo y el mar parecían estar unidos, observé la paz que llevaban las gaviotas al volar, detuve mi mirada en los pequeños islotes que parecían espejismos en el medio del mar, me perdí en las diferentes embarcaciones que flotaban y se desplazaban como en un manto celeste infinito.

Sentí que el tiempo se detuvo. En este momento recuerdo aquello y de verdad siento que pasé a otra dimensión.

Todo lo que ví era pura magia.

Ses Illetes, si visitás Ibiza, es NECESARIO que vayas a este lugar, es una experiencia de otro planeta pero en este mismo mundo.

Recomendaciones además del cuidado con la temperatura:
Chequeá el tiempo, será bueno que te toque un día soleado
Visítala en primavera, dicen que el invierno ayuda a que se limpie y el agua se ve como es, cristalina. Parece que el turismo en verano la contamina bastante con las embarcaciones y aunque sigue siendo bella, no es igual
