MONOMAD CHALLENGE: A sunset that almost transports me to another dimension [Eng- Esp]

English
A sunset that almost transports me to another dimension
In the end, sunsets often look quite dramatic. And while they’re one of those moments that fill the soul and that so many people enjoy, they also speak to something deeper: of culmination, of closure, of an ending.
In this #monomad challenge, I’d like to share a reflection along with some images that, for me at least, transport me to another place.
There’s something inevitably intense about watching the sun disappear—sometimes reddish, sometimes trying to break through the clouds before hiding completely. However, every ending also holds a beginning. Perhaps that’s why sunsets always stir up so many emotions.

I decided to share this one in black and white because its colors were blurred. There was no distinct yellow, no clear blue, and none of that intense, brilliant orange we usually associate with magnificent sunsets. Everything seemed suspended in a middle ground, as if the landscape were trying to reveal itself and, at the same time, finish coming into focus.
As I looked at it, I had a feeling that was hard to explain. It was as if, for a moment, I could glimpse another dimension. As if that landscape didn’t quite belong to this reality and offered a glimpse—even if only for a second—of something that might exist in other parts of the universe, in other galaxies, on other planes.

I don’t let myself get too carried away by these thoughts, although I admit that here in Menorca, they’ve started to surface more often. And not so much on my own initiative, but because several people have spoken to me about parallel dimensions, about planes that transcend the earthly world, about realities we can’t fully comprehend.
Perhaps that’s why that sunset made me wonder what was happening. Why was I perceiving it that way? How could it feel so unreal and, at the same time, so profoundly beautiful? It was like gazing at an illusion, a scene that didn’t need to prove anything to be perfect.

As I continued to gaze at the horizon, I also thought about everything humanity has been able to achieve. How far we’ve come. The immense amount of knowledge we’ve accumulated. And yet, I also thought about everything we still have yet to discover.
Sometimes I imagine that what requires an enormous effort for us might, from other dimensions, other lives, or even other galaxies, be something extraordinarily simple. We do things through matter, through the physical, from a dense and heavy place. Perhaps on other planes, everything simply happens through energy—that subtle world we can barely sense.
Before me lay the hills, the completely calm sea, the silent beach, and the contours of the landscape gently taking shape in the distance. All of that compelled me to pause for a few minutes and remember that, perhaps, life isn’t as complicated as we imagine it to be, as we live it, or as we describe it.
Perhaps, deep down, everything is much simpler.

And perhaps that’s why I felt gratitude. Gratitude for that moment and for that landscape, which didn’t need vivid colors to move me. Precisely because it was hazy, because it wasn’t fully defined, it seemed to me that the best way to share it was in black and white. In monochrome. Letting the sensations—and not the colors—be the ones to finish telling the story.
As I was feeling grateful, I came across this little San Antonio vaquita. I knew it was an answer, a “I’m glad you noticed.”
