Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, New York | A memory from 2018

Hello everyone in the amazing community of Liketu!! I hope you are having a beautiful day!! I tell you that… today September 15 is my birthday :), but there is not much photographic record yet, hehe. Soon I will be posting about this day, but in the mean time…

I wanted to share this post to learn how to actually use Liketu. I couldn’t download the application, because this option does not appear on my phone. I don't know if it's because of my mobile, or because of the geographical area where I am right now, so I'm trying through the web.

Today I want to share with you a memory from New York! I've wanted to share it for a long time, but I have chosen other topics or photos. You see, the Liketu website allows me to upload only 10 photos, so in the future I would like to try to upload more photos maybe to Hive or PEAKD, and then finish editing here, please tell me if it is possible or if it is prohibited.

So well… let’s go to the post today!! This is the Madame Tussauds Museum in 2018. This is a wax museum that you can find in different places in the world, and what you will see there is a lot of characters from the real life, related with the art world, science, cinematography universe, and so on, all of them very well recognized by people.

An Argentinian friend who loves USA culture, told me that sometimes they change these people, the famous one exposed there, so this time I found some icons as the Dalai Lama, Albert Einstein, JenniferLawrence, Leo Messi, Taylor Swift, Prince, Ed Sheeran, Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Harry from Sussex and his wife, Mother Teresa, Joan Peter the Second, and more, but I picked only ten pictures which it was allowed the website by editing here (next time as I mentioned, I’ll like to try with an upload in other ecosystem as PEAKD, so I can make a better post for you).

In these pictures I wanted to share the street and also the general color from the inside of Madame Tussauds, since it was red, strong pink, and it had some lights that I remember like gold.

It has many floors, each with a theme! And now that I'm writing this, it even has an area dedicated to superheroes, in fact I have a picture with Thor, but I don't look very good in it, hehe, that's why I didn't select it among the 10.

This was quite an interesting experience, since I'm not one to go to museums, but on that trip, which was my first solo trip, I bought a pass with several entrances to tourist places because that's what everyone did. If you went to New York, you had to see such and such, so I followed the crowd back then. And in that pass, called the Sightseeing Pass, there were several tickets, most of them to places that caught my attention and others to museums or spaces that didn't matter to me. The Wax Museum was one of these… the truth is that if I had to pay specifically for that, I didn't choose it. However, it was among the options and I didn't want to waste the entrance, since by the time I went, I had already visited the points that interested me, and if there was something that generated me, it was curiosity.

So there I went, and the truth is that I am grateful to have done it, because it is an extremely particular exhibition of works, which are perfectly created. You see every detail, and they really look like those celebrities. I recommend it to go!!

I hope you like it!

I send you love and a big hug!

With love,

@belug

Espero que les guste!!

Les envío cariños y un fuerte abrazo!

Con cariño,

@belug

Happy birthday!!!

Good thing you went there, these details are amazing even in pictures. I also wanted to go to the Bangkok branch but wasn’t able to. Are the clothes wax too or they’re real ones? They really look good and love how this medium can replicate and preserve some important history (not just celebrities lol). Enjoy your day!!

Apparently the wax figures museum in NY are just as beautiful as the ones in the Austrian capital Vienna.
I visited the Madame Tussauds museum in Vienna a few years ago.
