Adventures in Argentina! Come and take a walk with me to an Argentine Paradise: the Arroyo Grande, Paso de los Puntanos

Hello my Pinmapple friends, I hope you are having a beautiful day! This time I bring you a ride through Tunuyán, actually through a small part of this department, in what is one more adventure in my province.

Tunuyán is part of the Uco Valley, a wine region par excellence not only of Mendoza, but of Argentina as a country. In fact, the area has positioned itself very well in recent years at the international level, attracting tourists and investors.

A few days ago we traveled with a friend to the historic Manzano, but after seeing that there were too many people, we decided to walk a little further and take advantage of a small road that stretched to the side. The place is called Paso de los Puntaños or Arroyo Grande.

Valle de Uco, as the name says, is a region that, being inside a valley, has many spaces much greener than the rest of the province, so it offers pleasant experiences for the visitor, whether local or foreigner.

Aventuras en Argentina! Ven a pasear conmigo a un Paraíso argentino: el Arroyo Grande, Paso de los Puntanos

Hola mis amigos de Pinmapple, espero que estén teniendo un hermoso día! En esta ocasión les traigo un paseo por Tunuyán, en verdad por una partecita de este departamento, en lo que es una aventura más en mi provincia.

Tunuyán es parte de Valle de Uco, una región vitivinícola por excelencia no solo de Mendoza, sino de Argentina como país. Incluso, la zona se ha posicionado muy bien en los últimos años a nivel internacional, atrayendo turistas e inversionistas.

Hace unos días viajamos con una amiga al Manzano histórico, pero tras ver que había demasiada gente, decidimos andar un poco más y aprovechar un caminito que se extendía hacia un costado. El lugar se llama Paso de los Puntaños o Arroyo Grande.

Valle de Uco, como bien lo dice el nombre, es una región que al estar dentro de un valle, presenta numerosos espacios mucho más verdes que el resto de la provincia, por lo que ofrece agradables experiencias para el visitante, sea local o extranjero.

You will also see a very particular truck, which must have been a kind of grinder, since it had teeth that joined in the center. It gave us a lot of laughter because from a distance it looked like a bug, a robot, something strange indeed. So I took different shots of the means of transport and I estimate that it is also an element of construction (or destruction, hehe).

También verán a un camión bastante particular, que debe haber sido una especie de moledora, ya que tenía como dientes que se unían en el centro. Nos dio mucha risa porque a lo lejos parecía un bicho, un robot, algo extraño en verdad. Así que hice diferentes tomas del medio de transporte y estimo que también es un elemento de construcción (o destrucción, jeje).

In this case, I show you a rather narrow stream, but probably named "Grande" because it has much more flow than other streams in the area.

It is a protected area with a space on the side suitable for barbecues, so we set up there to prepare a traditional Argentinean barbecue.

The day was beautiful, and although in the city, the heat was scorching, in this place of Tunuyán, a fresh air told you to stay there all day, enjoying a sunny day until the night came and the city offered again some coolness after sunset.

En este caso, les muestro un arroyo bastante estrecho, pero que probablemente han nombrado “Grande” porque lleva mucho más caudal que otros arroyos de la zona.

Se trata de un área protegida con un espacio al costado apto para hacer asados, por lo que nos ubicamos ahí a preparar un tradicional asado argentino.

El día estaba hermoso, y aunque en la ciudad, el calor era abrasador, en este lugar de Tunuyán, un aire fresco te decía que te quedaras allí todo el día, disfrutando de un día soleado hasta que llegara la noche y la ciudad volviera a ofrecer algo de fresco tras la puesta del sol.

While the barbecue was going on, I went for a walk in the surroundings, and I came across the beautiful creek. The water was very cold and the contrast of the crystal clear water with the sky and the green, left me in love, as well as the sun, which was already going down because we took a long time to start the fire to barbecue.

There were quite a lot of people, all of them dispersed, making it clear that they were looking for some disconnection.

After about two and a half hours of cooking, lunch, which was almost turning into mid-afternoon, was ready.

Mientras se hacía el asado, salí a dar una vuelta por los alrededores, y me encontré con el hermoso arroyo. El agua estaba bien fría y el contraste del cristalino caudal con el cielo y el verde, me dejaron enamorada, como también el sol, que ya estaba bajando porque demoramos bastante en dar inicio al fuego para asar.

Había bastante gente, todas bien dispersas, dejando en claro que buscaban algo de desconexión.

Tras unas dos horas y media de cocción, el almuerzo, que casi se convertía en media tarde, estaba listo.

Once we left Arroyo Grande and on our way back to Mendoza City, we found a place called El momento. It caught our attention and we stopped there to eat something sweet and have a beer.

It was a small, familiar place, in fact the whole family was there, and although they were closing, they still welcomed us with open arms and opened again so we could sit down.

Thus, we found the last light of that day in Valle de Uco, which gave us a beautiful landscape between the mountains against the light, and with a violet / fuchsia sunset that we fell in love with.

Una vez nos fuimos De Arroyo Grande y ya de regreso a Ciudad de Mendoza, encontramos un lugar que se llama El momento. Nos llamó la atención y nos detuvimos allí para comer algo dulce y tomar una cerveza.

Era un lugar pequeño, familiar, de hecho estaba toda la familia en el sitio, y aunque estaban cerrando, igualmente nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos y abrieron nuevamente para que nos pudiéramos sentar.

Así, encontramos a la última luz de aquel día en Valle de Uco, que nos regaló un paisaje precioso entre las montañas a contraluz, y con un ocaso violeta/ fucsia que enamoraba.
