Public Transportation in Curitiba

The Curitiba Integrated Transportation Network has as its backbone 72 km of exclusive bus lanes that run through the 5 main axes of the city and that constitute the so-called fast lines (Expresso Biarticulado) whose stations are easily identifiable by their shape tube.

The fleet of the Integrated Transport Network amounts to 2,160 buses of various types. To these must be added another 370 buses from the non-integrated network but which also serve the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba.

The Integrated Transport Network has 21 urban terminals and another 7 metropolitan ones where you can transfer from one line to another without paying a new rate. They are usually available on fast lines and offer great flexibility to travellers.

To go to work I have to wait for a Route 502 Circular Sul Biarticulated Expresso at the Tubo Araça Station until I reach the Pinheirinho Terminal. In 35 minutes I am already at my destination. A very efficient and fast service.
