Inaugurated on January 25, 1999, a monument to the Liberator in the grounds of the Orinoco Botanical Garden in Ciudad Bolívar - Venezuela, just in front of the Casa de San Isidro, inhabited by Bolívar himself between the years 1818-1819.

This immense work by the sculptor Manuel de la Fuente. The pedestrian sculpture, flag-bearing and with a position never seen before, is made up of 120 pieces and is the tallest statue of Simón Bolívar in Venezuela and the largest in the world.

It measures 9.60 meters and its pedestal finished in granite measures 9.60 meters. The sculpture weighs 8,500 kilos and the support structure 1,500 kilos. It was modeled in about 10 tons of clay poured into plaster of 120 moldings. The parts were joined with electric welding and their finish was made with fire patina.
