Watching the sunset and the clouds along the coastal strip (Eng - Esp)
Greetings, fellow travelers! I hope you have an excellent and blessed week with your loved ones. With only a few days left in July, it means that next month my son will officially be on school break, giving us more time to visit the city's plazas and landmarks. I am happy to share a brief tour along the perimeter road near the Cinta Costera waterfront; I’ve really liked this area since I first visited last month, and whenever I have the chance, I go there to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
This time, my walk took me to a different boat area, located just a few kilometers from the Caigüire sector. As I’ve mentioned before, this long stretch of coastline features small piers where boats are moored after the day's fishing. During my walk—in addition to admiring the boats, which stand out for their striking colors—I was able to watch part of the sunset. This area is definitely one of the best spots to see the sun go down and enjoy the beautiful vistas it creates as it sets. The boats sit right at the water's edge, gently rocked by the waves. I only took a few photos of the sunset while walking, as I stopped several times to gaze at the clouds and their various shapes; my son and I tried to identify what each one looked like, and based on our observations, we spotted a dove, a caiman, and some fish. Later, as the sun dipped lower, a beautiful yellow band lit up the sky, followed by a soft red glow that seemed to blanket the Araya Peninsula and the sea.
Saludos amigos viajeros deseo que tengan una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, ya faltan pocosa días para que culmine el mes de julio, lo cual significa que el próximo mes mi hijo estará oficialmente de vacaciones escolares y tendremos más tiempo para visitar plazas y lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad; me siento feliz de compartir un pequeño recorrido por la avenida perimetral cerca del malecón Cinta Costera, esta zona me gustó mucho desde que la visité el mes pasado y cuando tengo la oportunidad voy para relajarme y disfrutar sus hermosos paisajes.
En esta ocasión mi trayecto se realizó en otra área de los botes, ubicada a pocos kilómetros del sector Caigüire, como lo he mencionado anteriormente, en esta larga franja costera se encuentran pequeños muelles donde los botes son amarrados luego de la jornada de pesca, durante mi recorrido, además de observar estos botes que resaltan por su llamativos colores, pude observar parte del atardecer, definitivamente esta zona es una de las mejores para ver el ocaso del sol y los hermosos paisajes que éste ofrece a medida que se va ocultando, los botes se encuentran ubicados en la orilla de la playa y algunos son movidos por las olas, mientras caminaba solo tomé pocas fotografías del atardecer, pues me detuve varias veces a contemplar las nubes, sus diferentes formas y en compañía de mi hijo buscábamos identificar qué forma tenía cada una, según nuestra observación percepción pudimos ver una paloma, un caimán y algunos peces, luego a medida que el sol se iba ocultando una hermosa franja amarilla iluminaba el cielo, seguida de un destello rojo claro que parecía cubrir la Península de Araya y el mar.
Continuing along the route, we made another stop facing the beach to admire the beautiful red, yellow, and blue hues in the sky, as well as cloud formations resembling massive rocks emerging from the water; the wind was light at that hour, and the sea was calm.
Next, we passed the boat area, where the colorful stripes and combinations caught my eye—red and black, white and blue, dark blue, and a white boat with thin navy-blue lines. We then spotted a boat out at sea, while several others were moored and secured on the shore for the next day's work. At this time of day, the colors of the national flag were still visible in the sky alongside streaks of gray. We saw more boats featuring those distinctive, eye-catching colorful stripes; as previously mentioned, they were positioned along the shoreline near the rocky path.
Avanzando en el recorrido, hicimos otra parada al frente de la playa para observar los hermosos tonos rojo, amarillo y azul en el cielo, también las diferentes formas de las nubes que parecen grandes rocas que emergen del agua, a esta hora había poco viento y el mar se encontraba en calma.
Luego pasamos por el área de los botes y me llamó la atención sus coloridas franjas y combinaciones, rojo con negro, blanco con azul, azul oscuro y uno de color blanco con delgadas líneas de color azul marino, seguidamente observamos un bote en alta mar y en la orilla varios botes ya amarrados y asegurados para la siguiente jornada, a esta hora del día se siguen observando en el cielo los colores del tricolor nacional y algunas franjas de color gris, nuevamente vemos otros botes con sus características franjas coloridas, que los hacen muy llamativos, su ubicación como ya lo mencioné es en la orilla de la playa por el sendero de las rocas.
On the beach, there was a blue-and-white boat swaying gently in the wind; the sky displayed faint sunset hues and glimmers, with mountain-like shapes visible amidst the clouds and a flash of blue-and-white light shining above. This is one of my favorite views, thanks to the beautiful color combination in the sky and its contrast with the sea.
No outing would be complete without watching birds soar across the heavens, and I managed to photograph three of them in mid-flight. As evening fell and the sun nearly disappeared, the sky turned a dark gray, save for a thin yellow strip—the final glimmers of the day—giving way to the night. The breeze was refreshing and pleasant, perfect for relaxing; we sat on the rocks for a while before heading back home. Although brief, I really enjoyed this visit because of the stunning sunset views and the varied shapes visible in the clouds.
En la playa había un bote de color azul y blanco movido levemente por el viento, el cielo apenas mostraba algunos colores y destellos del atardecer, se observan entre las nubes algunas formas de montaña y en la parte superior un destello de luz entre azul y blanco, esta vista es una de mis favoritas por la hermosa combinación de colores en el cielo y su contraste con el mar.
No podía faltar en este recorrido, ver las aves volar en el firmamento y pude fotografiar tres de ellas en pleno vuelo, luego con la llegada de la tarde y ya casi oculto el sol, el cielo se tornó de un color gris oscuro y una pequeña franja amarilla que son los últimos destellos del sol, para así dar paso a la noche, la brisa a esta hora era refrescante y perfecta para relajarse, en la noche nos sentamos un rato en las rocas y luego tomamos el camino de vuelta a casa, esta visita aunque fue pequeña me gustó mucho por las hermosas vistas del atardecer y las diferentes formas que se pueden observar en las nubes.
