Visiting Aguaro-Gariquito Park and the beautiful plains landscapes (Eng -Esp)
Greetings fellow travelers around the world, I wish you an excellent and blessed week in union with your loved ones, we are already finishing the first week of April, it seems incredible to me how quickly the month is advancing, as well as the season of drought and intense heat in my country, despite the heat it is a perfect time to see the trees change their leaves and the river beds somewhat reduced, increase with the arrival of the rains, and the rains bring greenery to the plants and joy to the garden, on this occasion we will visit the plains region and the park known as Aguaro - Guariquito.
The Venezuelan plains are characterized for being large extensions of flat land, although in some of them, such as the state of Guárico, mountain elevations can be observed in the central mountain range, where there is a beautiful natural park with rock elevations known as Los Morros de San Juan or Aristides Rojas monument. The rest of the states that make up this vast region of the country stand out for their very extensive flat lands, with agricultural and livestock vocation, as well as beautiful and charming landscapes.
Saludos amigos viajeros en todo el mundo, deseo que tengan una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, ya estamos finalizando la primera semana del mes de abril, me parece increíble lo rápido que va avanzando el mes, al igual que la temporada de sequía y calor intenso en mí país, a pesar del calor es una época perfecta para ver los árboles cambiar de hojas y el cauce de los ríos algo reducido, aumentar con la llegada de las lluvias, y es que las lluvias traen consigo verdor a las plantas y alegría al jardín, en esta ocasión visitaremos la región llanera y el parque conocido como Aguaro - Guariquito.
Los llanos venezolanos se caracterizan por ser grandes extensiones de tierra plana, aunque en algunos de ellos como el estado Guárico se pueden observar elevaciones de montaña en la cordillera central, donde se encuentra un hermoso parque natural con elevaciones de roca conocido como Los morros de de San Juan o monumento Aristides Rojas, el resto de los estados que integran esta vasta región del país, destacan por sus tierras planas muy extensas, de vocación agrícola y pecuaria, además con hermosos y encantadores paisajes.
During my visit to the plains region, in addition to running several personal errands with my friends, we took the opportunity to explore some destinations in this charming part of the country. Amidst our busy schedule, we were able to make it to the Aguarico-Guado Guariquito National Park in the few days of our trip.
Located specifically in the southern state of Guarico, it is a natural park and a protected area for the preservation of natural resources (flora and fauna). It is also an excellent area for hiking, walking, and outdoor walks. It also has several natural viewpoints. According to the park ranger, it is considered the second largest national park in Venezuela. Here you can enjoy beautiful landscapes, rivers, streams, lagoons, and vast, seemingly endless plains.
Upon arriving at the park, after several hours on the road, we took a short walk, the grass covers a large part of the land and the view is beautiful, along the way I could see several birds but at the slightest movement they fly away, I could only photograph a group of white herons as they took flight, they seem to be synchronized while gliding, rising in outer space, my favorite part of the walk was the view of a beautiful lagoon, the surrounding trees reflected in the water look spectacular, it is a landscape worth admiring, due to time reasons I could only stay a few minutes in this area, the truth is I loved the surroundings and the color of the water, a beautiful shade of green.
Durante mi visita a la región llanera, además de hacer varias diligencias personales en compañía de mis amigas, aprovechamos para conocer algunos destinos de esta encantadora parte del país, en medio de la apretada agenda que teníamos y los pocos días de nuestro viaje pudimos llegar hasta el parque nacional Aguaro guado Guariquito.
Este se encuentra ubicado específicamente en el estado Guárico al sur, es un parque natural y un área protegida y de preservación de los recursos naturales (flora y fauna), es además una excelente zona para practicar excursionismo, caminatas y paseos al aire libre, cuenta también con varios miradores naturales y de acuerdo a la información del guardaparques, se considera el segundo parque nacional más grande de Venezuela, en él puedes disfrutar de hermosos paisajes, ríos, caños, lagunas y grandes sábanas que parecen no tener fin.
Al llegar al parque, luego de varias horas de carretera, hicimos un pequeño recorrido, la grama cubre gran parte del terreno y la vista es linda, en el trayecto pude ver varias aves pero al minímo movimiento se van volando, solo pude fotografiar a un grupo de garzas blancas mientras emprendían el vuelo, parecen ir sincronizadas mientras planean, elevándose en el espacio sideral, mi parte favorita del paseo fue la vista de una hermosa laguna, los árboles alrededor reflejados en el agua se ven espectaculares, es un paisaje digno de admirar, por motivos de tiempo solo pude quedarme pocos minutos en esta zona, la verdad me encantó el entorno y el color del agua, un lindo tono verde.
After our short but charming walk through the park, we headed back to our lodging. It was already getting dark. I took out my phone to take several photos of the sunset. It's one of my favorite times of the day, thanks to the beautiful colors that adorn the sky at sunset. As we drove along the road, I saw a utility pole in the distance, along with the sunlight reflecting off the clouds.
At our destination, we ate and rested, and the next day we set out to explore my friend's aunt's small conuco, or plantation. They grow various crops on their land, and that day I was harvesting lemons and topocho. Visiting the plains region was a lovely experience. Although the trip lasted only a few days, we made the most of it, exploring several places in this charming region of the country.
Terminado nuestro pequeño pero encantador recorrido en el parque, tomamos la carretera de vuelta a nuestro lugar de hospedaje, ya estaba cayendo la tarde saqué el teléfono para hacer varias tomas fotográficas del paisaje al atardecer, es una de las partes del día que más me gusta, por los lindos colores que adornan el cielo en el ocaso del sol, avanzando en la carretera, a lo lejos se ve un poste y la luz del sol reflejada en las nubes.
Ya en nuestro destino, comimos descansamos, y al día siguiente salimos a conocer el pequeño conuco o sembradío de la tía de mi amiga, en su terreno cultivan varios rubros y ese este día estaba recolectando limones y topocho, visitar la región de los llanos fue una linda experiencia, aunque el viaje duró pocos días lo aprovechamos al máximo para conocer varios lugares de esta encantadora región del país.
