Visiting a beautiful and colorful garden of Ixoras (Eng - Esp)
Hello, hello, nature-loving friends! It's a pleasure to greet you and wish you a wonderful and blessed day with your loved ones. Visiting the countryside is undoubtedly a beautiful and relaxing experience. I had the opportunity to take a short walk in the countryside, but it's located in a coastal area. The view of the beach is truly beautiful, but our goal wasn't to go to the beach; it was to visit a street with several gardens, among which were several Ixora plants. This plant is widely used to decorate gardens, streets, and avenues, as it adapts very well to warm climates and doesn't require much water to bloom. I really liked this garden because I was able to see several Ixoras. The first one we saw was a Yellow Ixora, which isn't commonly seen, at least not in the area we visited. The ones I've seen on other occasions are mostly red.
This yellow one is very pretty; it's a soft and delicate tone, ideal for decorating children's rooms that aren't too bright. It's a truly lovely color. In it, we can see the small buds, and in the last photo... we see when the flower has fully bloomed. Upon seeing this plant, I stopped to take detailed photos showing its development. You can see the small buds, then they open, and finally we observe a beautiful yellow Ixora flower. According to the owner, they are named for the color of their flowers, and they all belong to the same family, differing only in color.
Hola, hola amigos amantes de la naturaleza, es un placer saludarlos y desearles un excelente y bendecido día junto a sus seres queridos. Visitar el campo es, sin duda, una experiencia hermosa y relajante. Tuve la oportunidad de dar un breve paseo por el campo, pero este se encuentra en una zona costera. La vista de la playa es realmente hermosa, pero nuestro objetivo no era ir a la playa; era visitar una calle con varios jardines, entre los que se encuentran varias plantas de Ixora. Esta se usa mucho para decorar jardines, calles y avenidas, ya que se adapta muy bien a los climas cálidos y no requiere mucha agua para florecer. Me gustó mucho este jardín porque pude ver varias Ixoras. La primera que vimos era una Ixora amarilla, que no se ve comúnmente, al menos no en la zona que visitamos. Las que he visto en otras ocasiones son en su mayoría rojas.
Esta amarilla es muy bonita; es un tono suave y delicado, ideal para decorar habitaciones infantiles que no sean demasiado llamativas. Es un color realmente agradable. En ella podemos ver los pequeños capullos, y en la última foto... vemos cuando la flor ha brotado por completo. Al ver esta planta, me detuve a tomar fotos detalladas que muestran su desarrollo. Se pueden ver los pequeños capullos, luego se abren y finalmente observamos una hermosa flor de Ixora amarilla. Según la dueña se les llama por el color de la flor y todas pertenecen a la misma familia, diferenciándose únicamente en el color.
After the yellow flower, I saw a pink one. According to information I found online, it's known as Ixora coralillo because of its beautiful color, which ranges from fuchsia to pink. I also took several pictures of this flower, showing some stages of its growth. Something I'd never seen on these plants before, and which caught my attention, was a dark purple fruit, similar to a grape. The woman explained that the fruit is initially green, then turns red, and finally black or dark purple when ripe. It's edible for birds, and some humans even eat it.
I've seen Ixoras in various parts of the city, like avenues and plazas, and I hadn't noticed it had this small fruit. When I saw it, I went closer and took a picture. According to Mrs. Camelia, this fruit appears after flowering and indicates that new flowers will soon adorn the plants. The pistil of this flower is highly prized by butterflies because it contains some of the nectar they enjoy when visiting these beautiful blooms.
Luego de la flor amarilla vi una flor de color rosa, según información que conseguí en la web, se le conoce como Ixora coralillo por su hermoso color que va entre fucsia y rosa, tomé también varias fotografías de esta flor y se observan algunas fases de su crecimiento, algo que nunca había visto en estas plantas y que llamó mi atención fue un fruto de color morado oscuro, similar a la uva, la señora explicó que el fruto inicialmente es verde, luego se torna rojo y finalmente negro o morado oscuro, cuando madura, es comestible para las aves, incluso algunos humanos también lo consumen.
En varias partes de la ciudad como avenidas y plazas he visto Ixoras y no me había dado cuenta que tenía este pequeño fruto, al verlo me acerqué y le tomé una fotografía, según la señora Camelia este fruto sale luego de la floración y es el indicativo de que muy pronto vendrán nuevas flores a adornar las plantas, el pistilo de esta flor es muy preciado por las mariposas pues allí se ubica parte del néctar que ellas disfrutan al visitar estas lindas flores.

Its color is beautiful and vibrant, creating a lovely contrast with the green of the leaves. In many gardens, it's common to shape these plants by creating rectangular, square, and zigzag paths for them to grow in. Then, through pruning, the excess is removed, resulting in a spectacular view.
Among the plants used in landscaping and gardens, the Ixora is a popular choice due to its characteristics and ability to adapt to different climates. Its flowers attract bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies, and the flower clusters are usually visible year-round. It reproduces easily through cuttings and slips. In Thailand, it represents wisdom on Teacher's Day, and in Asia, it is used in folk medicine to treat flu and diarrhea. In South America, especially in Brazil, it is often seen in wedding decorations where there is some connection with Hinduism, as an offering to the gods and to attract fertility and gratitude. Although it can withstand direct sunlight, it requires a suitable gift because it tolerates short droughts. Its petals are elongated and teardrop-shaped, the flower is made up of four petals, and it grows in clusters.
Por último y no menos importante está la flor Ixora roja, como lo mencionó al principio es una de las que más abunda en los jardines, su color es muy bonito, vibrante y hace un hermoso contraste con el color verde de las hojas, en muchos jardines se estila darle forma a estas plantas colocando veredas en forma de rectángulo, cuadrados y zigzag, para que ellas crezcan allí, luego con la poda se cortan los excesos y la vista es espectacular.
Entre las plantas empleadas en el paisajismo y jardines la es Ixora, es una de ellas, debido a sus características y la capacidad que tiene para adaptarse a diferentes climas, sus flores atraen abejas, colibríes y mariposas y regularmente los racimos florales son visibles durante todo el año, se reproduce fácilmente por medio de esquejes y estacas; en Tailandia representa la sabiduría en el día del maestro y en Asia se le emplea en la medicina popular para tratar gripes y diarrea, en América del Sur, especialmente en Brasil se suele ver en la decoraciones de matrimonios donde existe alguna relación con el hinduismo, como una ofrenda a los dioses y para atraer la fertilidad y el agradecimiento, aunque puede soportar el sol directamente, requiere un regalo adecuado porque soporta sequías cortas, sus pétalos son alargados y tienen forma de lagrima, la flor está formada por cuatro pétalos y crece en racimos.
