Tour of University Avenue in the San Luis sector (Eng - Esp)
University Avenue is a major thoroughfare in the city, connecting it to the Antonio José de Sucre Highway and parts of the Sucre municipality. It's located in the San Luis sector, home to the beach of the same name and several important buildings. While running errands in this area, specifically near the University of the East (UDO), I took the opportunity to explore the neighborhood. Besides the university, the area boasts important businesses, residential complexes, and tourist resorts and hotels, thanks to its proximity to the beach.
We began our tour at the University of the East, the most important educational institution in the eastern region. Further along, we passed several residential complexes, hotels, and a view of San Luis Beach, which offers beautiful scenery and warm waters perfect for cooling off from the heat. This area of the city is popular due to the presence of the beach, considered the largest urban beach in Venezuela.
The University of Oriente is the brick-colored building, with a perimeter wall of the same color. Although it was inactive for some time, it has resumed its academic activities, providing study opportunities to residents of the city and surrounding areas. Next, we find a hotel and one of the most important companies in the city and the country, Polar. In addition to producing various food products, they produce the well-known beer whose logo is a white bear. They also make the famous malt beverage and have a foundation that provides training in gastronomy and entrepreneurship to local residents.
The silos, as they are known, are the iconic symbol of this company, along with the famous white bear, located at the entrance to the structure. Following this is an ice company, and then another closer view of the Polar silos. Next, we see the gas station and residential buildings. Moving forward, we see several offices belonging to government entities, these stand out for their colorful lettering as well as the walls painted in striking colors, then a hotel, several residential complexes and the trees that abound in this area, there are Pines, Neem, among others, further on are the beautiful palm trees typical of tropical areas and much of the coast in the state of Sucre and Cumaná.
La avenida Universidad es una importante arteria vial de la ciudad ya que la conecta con la autopista Antonio José de Sucre y sectores del municipio Sucre, además se ubica en el sector San Luis donde se localiza la playa homónima e importantes construcciones, durante unas diligencias por esta zona de la ciudad específicamente por la Universidad de Oriente (UDO) aproveché para hacer un recorrido por esta zona, donde además de la universidad se encuentran importantes empresas, conjuntos residenciales, complejos turísticos y hoteleros, dada su cercanía con la playa.
Iniciamos el trayecto en la universidad de oriente, la casa de estudio más importante de la región oriental, luego tenemos varios complejos residenciales, hoteles y una vista de la playa San Luis , que ofrece hermosos paisajes y cálidas aguas para refrescarse del calor, esta zona de la ciudad es concurrida, debido a la presencia de la playa, considerada la playa urbana más grande de Venezuela.
La Universidad de Oriente es el edificio de color ladrillo, con la pared perimetral de ese mismo color, aunque estuvo varios inactiva, retomó sus actividades académicas brindando oportunidades de estudio a los habitantes de la ciudad y zonas adyacentes, luego encontramos un hotel y una de las empresas más importantes de la ciudad y el país, Polar está además de producir varios rubros alimenticios, produce la conocida cerveza que tiene como insignia un oso de color blanco, también elaboran la famosa malta y tienen una fundación que brinda formación en las área de gastronomía y emprendimiento a los habitantes de la zona.
Los silos, como se le conoce son el icono representativo de esta empresa y el famoso oso blanco, ubicado a la entrada de la estructura, a continuación se encuentra empresa de hielo y seguidamente otra vista más cercana de los silos de la empresa Polar, luego se aprecia la estación de servicio y edificios residenciales; avanzando, vemos varias oficinas que corresponden a entidades gubernamentales, estas destacan por sus coloridas letras al igual que las paredes pintadas de llamativos colores, luego un hotel, varios conjuntos residenciales y los árboles que abundan en esta zona, hay Pinos, Neem, entre otros, más adelante se ubican las hermosas palmeras típicas de las zonas tropicales y gran parte de la costa en el estado Sucre y Cumaná.
My favorite part of this trip was definitely the beach area. The view was absolutely beautiful; the blue of the water and sky seemed to merge, and the breeze was so pleasant it made me want to take a dip in the refreshing water. We made a short stop on the beach to calmly observe the scenery and enjoy the nice breeze. Since it was early, there were few people on the beach, which allowed me to take a short walk, feel the sand between my toes, and contemplate the vastness of the sea.
This city has definitely been blessed with a long coastline and many beaches to relax on with the family and enjoy the enchanting seascape. Then we move on to the palm grove area, which I really like. The view is equally beautiful; the landscapes, including palm trees and the sea in the background, fascinate me because they bring back fond memories of my childhood when I traveled with my parents and sisters during school holidays to visit my grandmother and cousins. Those were the most anticipated holidays, visiting the beach and building sandcastles. Such beautiful and fun times! I think that's where my love for the beach and its beautiful scenery comes from.
After my short but fun and relaxing stroll along the beach, we headed back along Avenida Universidad. I noticed several places I hadn't seen before, even though I've passed through this area many times. I hadn't paid attention to the details. There are several residential complexes and hotels, and one that caught my eye was a beige building with several palm trees and bougainvillea in front.
We also passed the city hall, the Corpoelec office, whose walkway is decorated with several plants in a corridor leading to the entrance, and then we saw a hotel building with several plants in front, as well as a section of the avenue near UNEFA University.
This avenue begins at the bottom of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho overpass and extends to the El Indio roundabout and the Antonio José de Sucre monument, which are located at the intersection and the distributor coming from the Antonio José de Sucre highway. The Universidad avenue is dynamic, since it is home to important companies, institutions and the beach, which is one of the great attractions in this area and the city. It was a nice tour that included a small and relaxing visit to the beach.
Mi parte favorita en este recorrido fue sin duda el área de la playa, definitivamente la vista del paisaje es hermosa, el color azul del agua y del cielo parecen unirse, además la brisa del lugar es agradable e invita a darse un chapuzón en su refrescante agua, hicimos una pequeña parada en la playa para observar el paisaje calmadamente y disfrutar la agradable brisa en este lugar, como era temprano habían pocas personas en la playa, lo cual me permitió hacer una pequeña caminata, sentir la arena en los pies y observar la inmensidad del mar.
Definitivamente esta ciudad ha sido bendecida con una extensa costa y muchas playas para relajarse en familia, y disfrutar el encantador paisaje marino, luego avanzamos hacia la zona de las palmeras que me gusta mucho, la vista es igualmente hermosa, los paisajes que incluyen palmeras y el mar al fondo, me fascinan porque taen lindos recuerdos de mi infancia cuando viajaba con mis padres y hermanas en las vacaciones escolares a visitar a mi abuela y primos, eran las vacaciones más esperadas para visitar la playa hacer castillos de arena, que tiempos tan hermosos y divertidos, creo que de allí proviene mi amor por la playa y sus lindos paisajes.
Terminado mi pequeño pero divertido y relajante paseo por la playa, retomamos el camino de vuelta por la avenida Universidad y pude observar varios lugares que no había visto, aunque he pasado varias veces por esta zona, no había prestado atención a los detalles, hay varios conjuntos residenciales, hoteles y uno que llamó mi atención fue el de color beige con varias palmeras y bugambilias en el frente.
También pasamos por el frente de la alcaldía, la oficina de Corpoelec, cuya caminería está decorada con varias plantas de fisco en un pasillo que conduce a la entrada de la misma, luego tenemos una vista de un edificio donde funciona un hotel, con varias varias plantas al frente y parte de la avenida cerca de la universidad UNEFA.
Esta avenida, inicia en la parte baja del elevado Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho y se extiende hasta la redoma el Indio y el monumento de Antonio José de Sucre, que se ubican en la intersección y el distribuidor proveniente de la autopista Antonio José de Sucre, la avenida Universidad es dinámica, ya que en ella se ubican importantes empresas, instituciones y la playa, que constituye uno de los grandes atractivos en esta área y la ciudad, fue un lindo recorrido que incluyó una pequeña y relajante visita a la playa.
