My visit to the St. Vincent de Paul Church and its striking dome (Eng - Esp)
Greetings friends lovers of architecture and design, I hope you have an excellent and blessed day together with your loved ones, it is a pleasure to share a new architectural design of the city Cumana, capital of Sucre state, belonging to the eastern region of Venezuela, this time we will know the church San Vicente de Paul, located between Arismendi Avenue and Castellon Street, It is a church with a modern and striking design by the dome, which is rounded and flattened at the ends, plus a triangular opening in the front, above the dome is located a smaller dome resting on a cylinder and at the top has a flower-shaped roof, so it is observed has colorful tubes in the cylindrical base, next to the church is the homonymous square.
The main door of the church is located on Castellón Street, the gate is black and has a concrete walkway that leads to the main entrance, which is a glass door with gold aluminum, the church has a perimeter fence, a green wall with black bars, which end in a triangular point similar to a spear, on the land there is a lush garden with a variety of plants, among which are palm trees and ornamental plants with white flowers, around the church there are several triangular columns covered with brick, the windows are made of glass with aluminum frames, in them are located the air conditioners, on the other side of the church is the parish house and public attention office, it is a green and white building, in the office there is a large sculpture of San Vicente, it has a great design and looks real, when I saw it upon entering I thought it was the manager and I was going to greet him, when I observed the rigidity and the pose I realized that it was not a person, it was a sculpture, I must say that they did a great job with the statue, it looks real and has beautiful colors.
Saludos amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, espero que tengan un excelente y bendecido día en unión de sus seres queridos, es un placer compartir un nuevo diseño arquitectónico de la ciudad Cumaná, capital del estado Sucre, perteneciente a la región oriental de Venezuela, en esta ocasión conoceremos la iglesia San Vicente de Paúl, ubicada entre la avenida Arismendi y calle Castellón, se trata de una iglesia con un diseño moderno y llamativo por la cúpula, la cual tiene forma redondeada y aplanada en los extremos, además una abertura triangular en la parte delantera, encima de la cúpula se ubica una cúpula más pequeña que descansa en un cilindro y en la parte superior tiene techo en forma de flor, por lo que se observa tiene tubos coloridos en la base cilíndrica, al lado de la iglesia se encuentra la plaza homónima.
La puerta principal de la iglesia se ubica en la calle Castellón, la reja es de color negro y cuenta con un pasillo de concreto que conduce hasta la entrada principal, que es una puerta de vidrio con aluminio dorado, la iglesia tiene cerca perimetral, un paredón de color verde con rejas negras, que terminan en una punta triangular similar a una lanza, en el terreno hay un frondoso jardín con variedad de plantas, entre las cuales se encuentran palmeras y plantas ornamentales con flores blancas, alrededor de la iglesia se encuentran varias columnas en forma triangular cubiertas con ladrillo, las ventanas son de vidrio con marcos de aluminio, en ellas se ubican los aires acondicionados, al otro lado de la iglesia se encuentra la casa parroquial y oficina de atención al público, es un edificio de color verde y blanco, en la oficina hay una gran escultura de san Vicente, tiene un gran diseño y parece real, cuando la vi al entrar pensé que era el encargado y lo iba a saludar , al obsevar la rigidez y la pose me di cuenta que no era una persona, se trataba de una escultura, debo decir que hicieron un gran trabajo con la estatua, parece real y tiene hermosos colores.
In addition to the main entrance, there is a side door that connects with the aforementioned plaza. To enter, there is a wide concrete walkway that extends from Arismendi Avenue to the gate. On either side of the walkway, we see the large trees, the green and yellow central sculpture of the plaza, and the cup-shaped planters. There are also lighting poles and concrete walls used for sitting. These are located beneath the trees and are perfect for resting.
The roof of the side door has the same triangular design as the main door. It coincides with two columns, and below it is the door, on which the name of the church and the service schedule are inscribed. The grille is also black, very similar to the grille of the main door. A closer view reveals the triangular columns that join with the rectangular columns that support the roof; these are apple green.
Además de la puerta principal, cuenta con una puerta lateral que converge con la plaza mencionada, para ingresar hay una amplia caminería de concreto que se extiende desde la avenida Arismendi hasta la puerta, a los lados del pasillo observamos los grandes árboles, la escultura central de la plaza que es de color verde y amarillo y los materos en forma de taza, también se ubican allí los postes de iluminación y unos muros de concreto utilizados para sentarse, estos están debajo de los árboles y son perfectos para descansar.
El techo de la puerta lateral tiene el mismo diseño que la puerta principal, de forma triangular, este coincide con dos columnas y debajo de ella se encuentra la puerta, en la la cual se lee el nombre de la iglesia y el horario de los servicios que realiza, la reja también es de color negro muy parecida a la reja de la puerta principal, en una vista más cerca vemos las columnas de forma triangular que se unen con las columnas que sirven de soporte al techo, estas son rectangulares y de color verde manzana.

The roof has circular ornaments at the edges, a kind of protective blanket that covers the contour of the roof. The windows, as I mentioned earlier, are made of aluminum and also have a grille, also made of gold-colored aluminum.
The day of my visit I was only able to take photos of the outside, I hope in the near future to be able to see the interior design of this striking church, I found the model of the dome very interesting, it is the first time I see one with this shape in the city, regularly the churches have towers and bell towers, in this one I did not see it, maybe because I only explored the external area, the design of the temple is undoubtedly beautiful and out of the ordinary, I think that detail makes it very striking, I really liked the dome and its flower-shaped finish, I also liked the colors, the two shades of green look very good with the color of the roof and the columns covered with brick, the trees around give it a fresh and tropical style.
Las columnas de color verde se extienden hasta el extremo del techo formando la letra L y las columnas de color ladrillo llegan aproximadamente hasta la mitad de estas, en los bordes el techo tiene adornos de forma circular, es una especie de manta protectora que abarca el contorno del techo, las ventanas como ya lo mencioné son de aluminio y cuentan además con una reja también de aluminio color dorado.
El día de mi visita solo pude tomar fotos de la parte exterior, espero en un futuro cercano poder conocer el diseño interior de esta llamativa iglesia, me pareció muy interesante el modelo de la cúpula, es la primera vez que veo en la ciudad una con esta forma, regularmente las iglesias tienen torres y campanarios, en esta no lo vi, tal vez porque solo exploré el área externa, el diseño del templo, sin duda es hermoso y fuera de lo común, creo que ese detalle la hace muy llamativo, me gustó mucho la cúpula y su terminación en forma de flor, los colores también me gustaron, los dos tonos de verde se ven muy bien con el color del techo y las columnas cubiertas con ladrillo, los árboles alrdedor le dan un estilo fresco y tropical.
