My visit to the Libertador Promenade on Carúpano Avenue (Eng - Esp)
Greetings, fellow travelers around the world! I hope you are in good health and having an excellent, blessed week with your loved ones. Today, I’m sharing my visit to the Libertador Boulevard, located in the Caigüire sector along Carúpano Avenue. It is a space featuring concrete benches, walkways, gardens, and a beautiful fountain—situated in the center of the promenade—that displays the word "Sucre." The white letters are set against a backdrop of rectangles and shapes that pay tribute to Sucre state. I first discovered this boulevard several months ago while running errands in the area; I hadn't known it existed, but the fountain and the lettering—with those colorful shapes behind them—caught my eye. That day, I only managed to take a few photos, but I returned months later to explore the entire site and meet up with a friend.
Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that the shapes and rectangles supporting the letters had been repainted; that is why the photos I’m sharing show different colors on the background elements. These colors make the lettering stand out beautifully. The fountain itself is triangular with rounded corners and is surrounded by various plants; you can also see the plumbing pipes and a protective wall encircling it. From this spot, there is a view of part of Rotaria Avenue and some of the institutions located in the area.
Saludos amigos viajeros en todo el mundo, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto mi visita al Bulevar Libertador, este se encuentra ubicado en el sector Caigüire, avenida Carúpano, es un espacio que cuenta con bancos de concreto, caminerías, jardines y una hermosa fuente, donde se lee la palabra Sucre, esta se ubica en el centro del paseo y está decorada con rectángulos y figuras alusivas al estado Sucre, las letras son de color blanco, este bulevar lo conocí hace varios meses mientras realizaba diligencias por esta zona, no sabía de su existencia y me llamó la atención la fuente y las letras con sus coloridas figuras en el fondo, ese día solo pude tomar algunas fotografías y luego de varios meses volví para hacer un recorrido completo y reunirme con una amiga.
Al llegar me conseguí con la sorpresa de que las figuras y rectángulos que sirven de soporte a las letras habían sido pintadas, por eso en la fotografías que comparto se observan diferentes colores en las figuras posteriores. estos colores agregan vistosidad a las letras; la fuente tiene forma triangular, con las puntas circulares y alrededor de ella hay varias plantas, se observan también los tubos y un muro de protección alrededor de la fuente, desde eses punto se ve parte de la avenida Rotaria y algunas instituciones ubicadas en el área.
After exploring the expansive grounds, I observed concrete walkways flanked by low walls, along with various grassy areas and signs encouraging visitors to take care of the garden—reminding them not to step on the grass and to dispose of trash properly. The fountain sits in the center; in addition to a protective wall, it features two steps that allow for close-up viewing. The lettering rests on a rectangular blue wall set against a light blue and green background with gray borders; another view shows the wall housing the fountain, its shape, and the reflection of the letters in the water.
In the first photograph I took, the figures behind the lettering had not yet been painted, and the colors appeared somewhat pale. Protective walls and abundant greenery line the edges of the site; in fact, this avenue features several green spaces. Two walkways extend from the fountain—one leading to Carúpano Avenue in Caigüire and the other toward the El Peñón sector. The area also features the famous purple-leafed plants that have become a staple of the city's landscaping and beautification efforts. A close-up shot reveals the lettering and the figures behind it, including two trees and rectangles containing squares of various colors and sizes; the rear wall is white, while the surrounding wall is gray. There is also a colorful sign—similar to the one on Aristiguieta Avenue—welcoming visitors to the city's historic center. At the base, the fountain is decorated with blue tiles and surrounded by plants. Another view shows the walkways and the surrounding vegetation; the area is also equipped with water outlets for irrigation. From this vantage point, one can see the area's lush greenery and a beautiful blue sky dotted with clouds, while a close-up view highlights the lettering and the figure positioned behind it.
Luego de explorar la zona que es un amplio terreno, pude observar las caminerías hechas de concreto y con muros a los lados, hay también varias plantas gramas y carteles que invitan a cuidar, el jardín no pisar la grama y colocar la basura en su lugar, la fuente se ubica en el centro y además del muro protector cuenta con dos escalones para observarla de cerca, las letras descansan en un muro rectangular de color azul, el fondo es azul claro y verde, los bordes de color gris; en otra vista vemos el muro donde se ubica la fuente su forma y las letras reflejadas en el agua.
En esta fotografía que fue la que tomé primero, las figuras ubicadas en la parte posterior de las letras aún no habían sido pintadas y se observan los colores un poco palidos, en todo el terreno y por los bordes hay muros protectores y muchas plantas, de hecho en esta avenida se ubican varias zonas verdes, desde la fuente y a ambos lados se extienden dos caminerías que conducen a la avenida Carúpano en Caigüire y la otra hacia el sector El Peñón, tiene también las famosas plantas de hojas moradas que se han convertido en unas de la más utilizadas para el embellecimiento y paisajismo de la ciudad; en una toma más cerca vemos las letras y alguna de sus figuras entre ellas dos árboles, rectángulos con cuadrados de diferentes colores y tamaños, en la parte posterior el muro es de color blanco y el muro alrededor de color gris, también hay un cartel muy colorido similar al ubicado en la avenida Aristiguieta, que da la bienvenida al casco histórico de la ciudad, en la parte inferior la fuente está decorada con cerámicas de color azul y alrededor varias plantas, en otra vista tenemos una fotografía de las caminerías y las plantas ubicadas alrededor de ellas, también este espacio cuenta con las tomas de agua para regar las plantas, desde ese punto observamos la abundante vegetación que se encuentra en esta zona y el cielo con un hermoso color azul y varias nubes, de cerca vemos las letras y la figura ubicada en la parte posterior.
Next, we took the concrete path and the walkways near the trees—this was my favorite part, as the trees create a beautiful setting. Several concrete benches are located in this area; during my first visit, they were gray, but by my second visit, they had been painted blue. Granite details were also added to the planters, along with—as I mentioned—various signs encouraging people to take care of the space and the plants. You can see the benches resting on circular bases decorated with stones, as well as a view of the walkways, benches, and plants, culminating in a blue bench situated amidst the grass.
I liked the design of this walkway and the colors of the fountain; the benches are shaped like asterisks and are excellently located near trees that provide shade and a space to rest, enjoy the cool breeze, and admire the scenery. I visited in the afternoon, so we were able to take advantage of the shade; we sat under the trees and chatted, and as nightfall approached, we headed to the stop to catch our transport.
A continuación tomamos el camino de concreto y los pasillos ubicados cerca de los árboles, esta fue mi parte favorita los árboles crean un hermoso entorno, en esta zona se ubican varios bancos de concreto, los cuales durante mi primera visita eran de color gris en la segunda visita habían sido pintados de color azul, también agregaron detalles de granito a las jardineras y como lo mencioné, varios carteles que invitan a cuidar este espacio y las plantas, se observan los bancos en bases circulares decorados con rocas, también tenemos una vista de las caminerías, los bancos, las plantas y al final un banco azul ubicado en medio de las gramas.
Me gustó el diseño de este paseo y los colores de la fuente, los bancos tienen forma de asterisco y con una excelente ubicación cerca de los árboles que ofrecen sombra y un espacio para descansar, disfrutar la fresca brisa y admirar el paisaje, mi visita fue en la tarde y pudimos aprovechar la sombra vespertina, nos sentamos debajo de los árboles, conversamos y cuando se acercaba la noche, nos dirigimos a la parada para tomar el transporte.
