My visit to the Copey lagoon, a place to enjoy being in contact with nature (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers! It's a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to Laguna de Copey, located in the municipality of Bermúdez, on the Cumaná-Carúpano national highway. A beautiful viewpoint and a theme park featuring the famous flamingos, or corocoras, that inhabit this mangrove area were recently built at this lagoon. At the entrance, the sign reads "Mirador Ecoturístico Laguna de Copey" (Copey Lagoon Ecotourism Viewpoint), set within a concrete circle and featuring a shark sculpture in front.
Next to the identification fence, there's a red concrete walkway with a circle in the center featuring several flamingos, some white and some red. The central one is the largest and one of the most striking. It's made of concrete, and I must say I liked the design; it looks realistic. Each flamingo is in a different pose, some eating, others resting, and some standing. Around the largest flamingo are several blue concrete benches. There's also a red bench next to the fence. I liked these benches because they have a small, multicolored wall at the bottom. In front of the fence, there's a beautiful white heron that seems to be reading the sign. A closer look reveals the red flamingo, the central figure at this viewpoint, and behind it, a lovely walkway ending at a swing. The walkway is made of wood, giving the lagoon a beautiful, tropical, and eco-friendly feel. It also features LED lights that complement the beautiful landscape framed by the mountain and the lagoon. And the spectacular Flamingos, very close to the walkway is a red Flamingo, which is the guardian of this walkway, to get to the swing, you must first ask permission from this beautiful vigilant Flamingo.
Hola, hola amigos viajeros, es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a Laguna de Copey, la cual se ubica en el municipio Bermúdez, en la carretera nacional Cumaná - Carúpano, en esta laguna se construyó recientemente un hermoso mirador y un parque temático con los famosos flamingos o corocoras, que habitan en esta zona de manglares; en la entrada se lee el identificador "Mirador Ecoturístico Laguna de Copey", que reposa en un círculo de concreto y al frente tiene un tiburón.
Al lado de la valla de identificación, hay una caminería de concreto en color rojo, esta tiene un círculo en el centro donde se ubican varios flamingos, de color blanco y rojo, el del centro es el más grande y uno de los más llamativos, está hecho de concreto y debo decir que el diseño me gustó, parece real y cada uno de ellos está en diferentes posiciones, algunos comiendo otros descansando, parados y alrededor del Flamingo más grande, se ubican varios bancos de concreto pintados en color azul, al lado de la valla también hay un banco de color rojo, estos bancos me gustaron porque en la parte inferior tienen un pequeño muro de variados colores, al frente de la valla hay una hermosa garza blanca que da la impresión de estar leyendo el escrito, en una vista detallada se observa el Flamingo rojo, que es la figura central en este mirador y detrás de ella hay una hermosa caminería que finaliza en un columpio, la cual está elaborada con madera que le dan un estilo ecológico tropical y muy bonito a esta laguna, cuenta además con luces LED que complementan el hermoso paisaje adornado por la montaña, la laguna y los espectaculares Flamingos, muy cerca de la caminería se ubica un Flamingo de color rojo, que es el guardián de esta pasarela, para llegar hasta el columpio, debes primero pedirle permiso a este hermoso Flamingo vigilante.
Once you've been granted permission to pass, you have free access to the walkway. The design is simple yet very pretty. The swing is decorated with beautiful flowers, and on either side of it, there's a small lookout point from which you can observe the birds, the beautiful landscape, and the mountain view, which was one of my favorites.
All the details added to this lookout point are spectacular and eye-catching, especially for children who enjoy visiting this charming space, connecting with nature, and seeing the endearing, life-size depictions of the area's characteristic birds. It features several walkways and benches very close to the lagoon, trash cans to keep the area clean and free of garbage. Flamingos, lights, and various trees—mostly mangroves native to this region—are distributed along the walkways. The flamingos are found in different areas and give the impression of being in motion. Some are near the plants, benches, and huts, adorning this striking viewpoint. After the benches, we continue to the next walkways and find the beautiful cabins. They are connected by rectangular walkways and have yellow concrete floors. The benches are of various colors: blue, yellow, green, and red. They are located very close to the lagoon, and around them, we observe several flamingos. The red ones located at the edge of the lagoon appear to be life-size. Every detail of their finish is impressive, and it seems as if we are facing one of these beautiful and striking birds, which at a certain time of year acquire a beautiful color between pink and red.
Concedido el permiso permiso para pasar, tienes libre acceso a la caminería, el diseño es sencillo pero muy bonito, el columpio está decorado con hermosas flores y a los lados del columpio hay un pequeño mirador desde el cual puedes observar las aves, el hermoso paisaje y la vista de la montaña que fue una de mis favoritas.
Todos los detalles que añadieron a este mirador son espectaculares y llamativos, en especial para los niños que disfrutan visitar este encantador espacio, conectar con la naturaleza y ver las simpáticas aves características de esta zona, hechas a gran escala; cuenta con diversas caminerías y bancos muy cerca de la laguna, papeleras para mantener el área limpia y libre de basura, a lo largo de las caminerías se distribuyen los flamingos, las luces y varios árboles en su mayoría, son mangles propios de esta región, los flamingos se encuentran en diferentes áreas y dan la impresión de estar en movimiento, algunos están cerca de las plantas, los bancos y las chozas adornando este llamativo mirador, luego de los bancos avanzamos a la siguientes caminerías y nos encontramos con las hermosas cabañas, están conectadas por pasarelas rectangulares y tienen el piso de concreto en color amarillo, los bancos son de diversos colores, azul, amarillo, verde y rojo, están ubicadas muy cerca de la laguna y alrededor de ellas observamos varios Flamingo, los de color rojo ubicados al borde de la laguna parecen ser de tamaño real, cada detalle de su acabado es impresionante y parece que estamos frente a una de estas hermosas y llamativas aves, que en determinada época del año adquieren un hermoso color entre rosado y rojo.
Another view reveals the huts, the flamingos, the beautiful lagoon, and the mountain in the background. This panorama is one of my favorites; it looks tranquil, relaxing, and perfect for connecting with nature. The artist who designed this park had an excellent idea in representing the birds of this ecosystem in beautiful sculptures and adding the huts as a rest area, which complements this landscape. The benches around the central circle are crescent-shaped and come in a variety of colors. In total, there are more than 12 huts, ideal for families to enjoy this space and the wonders that nature offers.
In addition, the lagoon's surroundings feature several palm trees that add a tropical touch to the viewpoint. Palm trees are generally found in beach areas, although not all beaches have them. However, most of the beaches I've visited in Sucre state have beautiful palm trees. Looking closely at the flamingo in the last photo, it has a very nice design; the feathers look real. They definitely did a great job meticulously capturing the characteristics of these curious birds. I loved this lagoon and its new viewpoint. It was a fun and enjoyable adventure exploring its spaces and walking along the paths. I liked the cabins and the flamingo decorations, which add a special touch to this lagoon, creating a beautiful setting for families and visitors to enjoy.
En otra vista se observan las chozas, los flamingos, la hermosa laguna y la montaña al fondo, esta panorámica es una de mis favoritas, además se ve tranquila relajante y perfecta para conectar con la naturaleza, el artista que diseñó este parque tuvo una excelente idea al representar las aves de este ecosistema en hermosas esculturas y agregar las chozas como un área de descanso, que complementa este paisaje, los bancos alrededor del círculo central, tienen forma de media luna y sus colores son variados, en total hay más de 12 chozas, ideales para que la familia disfrute este espacio y las maravillas que la naturaleza nos regala.
Además el entorno de la laguna, cuenta con varias palmeras que agregan el estilo tropical al mirador, generalmente en las zonas de playa se ubican palmeras, aunque no siempre en las playas hay este tipo de plantas, pero en la mayoría de las playas que he visitado en el estado Sucre se consiguen hermosas palmeras, observando en detalle el Flamingo de la última foto, tiene un diseño muy bonito las plumas parecen reales, definitivamente hicieron un gran trabajo cuidando minuciosamente las características de estas curiosas aves, me encantó esta laguna y su nuevo mirador, fue una divertida y agradable aventura conocer sus espacios explorar y recorrer las caminerías, me gustaron las cabañas y las decoraciones con Flamingo, que agregan un toque especial a esta laguna, creando un hermoso escenario para el disfrute de la familia y visitantes.

Como dices, sencillo, ¡pero muy bonito! ¿Y se puede hacer algún tipo de actividad en la laguna, como kayac por ejemplo?
Saludos amiga, sí me encantó la decoración con los Flamingos y chozas, sencilla pero hermosa, perfecta para relajarse y observar el entorno, también se realiza Kayac y recorridos guiados de una hora para avistar las especies animales y vegetales, desde marzo inició un programa para el desarrollo de estas actividades recreativas.
