INGLÉS

Hello traveling friends from all over the world, it is a pleasure to greet you, hoping you have an excellent day, I am happy to be able to share my visit to the San Vicente de Paúl church, this church is located between Arismendi Avenue and Castellón Street, crossing with 4 de Julio Street, it stands out for its beautiful design and environment surrounded by large trees, previously I visited this church but I could only observe the external part, since I saw it, I liked its shape and the small dome similar to a flower, on several occasions I passed by the area hoping to find it open, until I spoke with the gardener and he explained to me that in the morning from 9 am was the indicated time, since the cleaning day was over and there was attention to the public, the next day I returned again at the appointed time and very excited because I was finally going to see the inside of the church, before entering I took a short tour and observed the parish house, pastoral office and the beautiful garden, I was also impressed to see that the temple has four doors.

I loved the interior design, of the churches I have visited this is one of the most beautiful in the city, it has a circular shape at the top, even the structure of the temple is cylindrical, similar to the bohío, in the small dome there are several colorful columns that give it visibility and from the inside they add brightness and light to the enclosure, the roof is red, the walls are green that combine very well with the abundant vegetation of the surroundings, it also has a perimeter fence with green walls and black bars, these stand out for their fan shape, at the points where the bars and the main columns converge, the garden is large and there are several plants with beautiful flowers such as the trinitaria, yxora, cup of gold, among others that adorn the entrance of the church.

The doors are made of glass with golden frames, followed by a beautiful wooden door decorated with carved rectangles, at the top it has a triangular shape with blue and green stripes, from the central part where the dome is located the white columns that support the roof, which is made of wood and these end in a V shape when joining the walls, the floor is made of granite and the benches are brown and are located horizontally so that there is a corridor between the rows to move around, The windows are located between the concrete columns and being of glass they allow the passage of sunlight, which widely illuminates the enclosure, in the ceiling are also observed the air consoles and several lamps, the altar is decorated with carved stones on the wall, to access it has three black granite steps, next to the stairs is a cross decorated with purple ribbon, palms and some rocks.

Another view of the altar shows the elements of worship and a table with a white tablecloth in the central part, on the right side of the altar is a sculpture of St. Vincent mounted on a pedestal covered with a white tablecloth, the wooden ceiling rests on concrete columns, On the walls there are several pictures of saints and prominent figures of the church, taking as a reference the life of St. Vincent, who was born in France, the homonymous church is characterized by the realization of social work in the community, following the example of St. Vincent, who dedicated part of his life to noble causes to help the needy.

After doing a little tour inside the church and observing the pews, the columns and the altar, we arrive to my favorite part, which is the dome, it is located in the central part and from this point we can observe the small colorful bars that adorn the dome, from it a beautiful lamp is detached, another view of the altar is also appreciated, the location of the benches and the different colors of granite that combines the floor, in the central part of the dome we can see a kind of circular grill in which the mentioned lamp is located, around it there is a white circle with golden edges and small divisions also of golden color, in the part of below of the lamp the image of San Vicente is observed framed in a circle of wood with adornments of golden color, and wooden canes that form a species of rudder, which has silver chains in each one of the tips of the bars, the circle where the image of San Vicente is, is of wood and is decorated with golden rays, around the head of San Vicente.

Definitely the dome is the great attraction of the church and although it has a simple design, its colorful columns and shape give it a unique and charming style, I loved the dome and the location of the concrete columns that complement the design creating a flower with large elongated white petals, I loved to see this dome is very beautiful, from the outside you can only see a small part of it, inside you can see its colors, shape and the image of San Vicente on the back, it is a great detail that caught my attention, I never imagined seeing his face under the dome.
