My visit to the Benigno Bruzual roundabout, a pleasant natural space that pays homage to the illustrious musician (Eng - Esp)
Hello friends, #hive lovers, and nature lovers! I wish you an excellent week with your loved ones. Today is the last Monday of 2025, and may the new year be filled with great blessings: health, love, and prosperity in every home. On this occasion, I'm sharing my visit to the Benigno Bruzual roundabout, located on Fernández de Serpa Avenue in the city of Cumaná. This roundabout pays tribute to the aforementioned distinguished musician and composer, who created the music for the anthem of Sucre state and also collaborated on the anthem of Nueva Esparta state. The roundabout is situated in a natural setting. In the center, there is a bust of this prominent musician, surrounded by various plants. To reach the bust without stepping on the plants, there are several concrete walkways, and the roundabout is surrounded by various plants and trees.
I've passed by there on several occasions, but I'd never had the chance to stop and take pictures, as it's a very busy road. So, I took advantage of a weekend and, along with my son, we visited this plaza, since we were running errands in the area. I was surprised by the number of trees in the area, creating a beautiful green canopy that becomes a cool space to rest from the scorching sun typical of the city. Very close to this roundabout is the La Copita building, an emblematic construction that stands out for its striking design.
Hola amigos amantes #hive y amantes de la naturaleza, deseo que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos, hoy es el l último lunes del año 2025, que el nuevo año venga cargado de grandes bendiciones; salud, amor y prosperidad en cada hogar, en esta ocasión es comparto mi visita a la redoma Benigno Bruzual, ubicada en avenida Fernández de Serpa, de la ciudad de Cumaná, esta redoma rinde tributo al destacado músico y compositor antes mencionado, quién creó la música del himno del estado Sucre y también colaboró con el himno del estado Nueva Esparta, la redoma se ubica en un entorno natural, en el centro hay un busto de este destacado músico y varias plantas alrededor, para llegar al busto y no pisar las plantas, cuenta con varias caminerías de concreto y alrededor de ella hay varias plantas y árboles.
En diversas ocasiones he pasado por allí, pero nunca había tenido la oportunidad de detenerme a observar y tomar fotos, pues es una vía muy transitada, así que aproveché un fin de semana y en compañía de mi hijo visitamos esta plaza, ya que andábamos haciendo varias diligencias por la zona, me sorprendió la cantidad de árboles que hay en el área y crean un hermoso techo vegetal, que se convierte en un fresco espacio para descansar del sol abrasador típico en la ciudad, muy cerca de esta redoma se ubica el edificio la Copita, una construcción emblemática en la que destaca por su llamativo diseño.
The bust rests on a concrete pedestal, with a band of caico at the bottom. In the center of the pedestal is a marble plaque that identifies the musician, his date of birth, death, and the emblem that says he is the author of the anthem of the state of Sucre.
To reach this bust, the roundabout has three T-shaped walkways. The bust is in the center, and on either side are the walkways. The last one, which runs from the front to the other side of the roundabout, is framed by a concrete circle and lined with various plants, including palm trees, lilies, ceiba trees, and other ornamental plants. One has purple leaves, and another, which I liked the most, has yellow and green leaves. From a distance, you can see the three large trees, which are covered with plants along the edges. Again, you can see the plant with the yellow and green leaves; it was definitely my favorite and is known as Yellow Coral Tree Erythrina variegata
El busto reposa en un pedestal de concreto, con una franja de caico en la parte inferior, en el centro del pedestal hay una placa de mármol que identifica al músico, su fecha de nacimiento, defunción y el emblema que dice que es el autor del himno del estado Sucre.
Para llegar a este busto, la redoma cuenta con tres caminerías en forma de T, el busto está en el centro y a ambos lados vemos las caminerías y la última que va desde el frente hasta el otro borde de la redoma, la cual está enmarcada en un círculo de concreto y por los bordes tiene varias plantas, entre ellas; Palmeras, lirios Ceiba y otras plantas ornamentales, una con las hojas de color morado y otra que fue la que más me gustó que tiene las hojas de color amarillo y verde, en una vista más lejos de la redoma se observan los grandes árboles que en total son tres, esta cubierta por plantas en los bordes y nuevamente se aprecia la planta que tiene las hojas de color amarillo con verde fue definitivamente mi favorita y se le conoce como Colorín Amarillo Erythrina variegata
Then we again observed the palm trees and small hexagonal planters, located among the walkways, several shrubs, and in the next photograph we have a view of the La Copita building. This avenue converges with Gran Mariscal Avenue, one of the longest in the city, which reaches the Caigüire sector. It is a simple but welcoming roundabout. I liked the abundance of trees and the cool space. It doesn't have benches because it's not a plaza as such, but it is a green space that pays homage to a prominent figure of the state and where you can rest while running errands in this area of the city. If you want to see the different plazas in this sector, the ideal time is to go in the afternoon when the sun's rays have lowered and the temperature is cooler. It was a lovely walk around this roundabout; if it had benches, we would have stayed longer enjoying the cool breeze and the shade of the trees.
Luego observamos nuevamente las palmeras y pequeñas jardineras hexagonales, ubicadas entre las caminerías, varios arbustos y en la siguiente fotografía tenemos una vista del edificio la Copita, esta avenida converge con la avenida Gran Mariscal una de las más largas en la ciudad y que llega hasta el sector Caigüire, es una redoma sencilla pero acogedora, me gustó la abundancia de árboles y el espacio que es fresco, no cuenta con bancos, porque no es una plaza como tal, pero es un espacio verde que rinde homenaje a un destacado personaje del estado y en el cual se puede descansar descansar mientras se realizan diligencias por esta zona de la ciudad, si quieres conocer las diferentes plazas que hay en este sector, lo ideal es ir en horas de la tarde cuando los rayos del sol ya han bajado y la temperatura es más fresca, fue un lindo recorrido por esta redoma, si tuviese bancos nos quedamos más tiempo disfrutando la fresca brisa y la sombra de los árboles.
