My visit to the art workshop, getting to know its beautiful and striking paintings (Eng- Esp)
Greetings fellow travelers! I hope you have an excellent and blessed start to the week with your loved ones. This day also marks the end of May and the beginning of June and the first half of the year. Today I'm sharing my visit to the art school located between Niquitao and Cantaura streets. Besides training young people in the visual arts, this school has an adjacent workshop where courses and workshops related to art, painting, ceramics, and other disciplines are offered.
The institution is named Luis Rowlinson, and its facade is painted in striking colors—blue, orange, white, and black—with eye-catching details that make it impossible to pass by without noticing these beautiful works. During my visit to the workshop next door, I saw some beautiful paintings, including
a mural of "The Creation of Adam" by the renowned painter Michelangelo. The colors are truly beautiful, and to observe the details, I took a full photo of the mural, then one of Adam, and in the next, the Creator accompanied by other beings.
Then I went to the office, and it also has some colorful murals that represent the culture of Venezuela. There is a girl in the typical Callao dress for dancing calypso, an orchid, and colorful paintings that represent the cultural diversity of this country. There are also several small sculptures that represent the heroes, and among the paintings are flowers of various colors typical of the different regions of the country.
Saludos amigos viajeros, deseo que tengan un excelente y bendecido inicio de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, este día marca también el final del mes de Mayo para dar paso al mes de junio y primer semestre del año, hoy les comparto mi visita a la escuela de arte ubicada entre la calle Niquitao y calle Cantaura, esta escuela además de formar jóvenes en las artes visuales, tiene al lado un taller donde se realizan cursos y talleres de formación vinculados con el arte, pintura, cerámica entre otros.
La institución tiene por nombre Luis Rowlinson en la parte frontal está pintada con llamativos colores, azul, naranja blanco y negro con detalles muy llamativos que es imposible pasar sin observar estas hermosas obras, en mi visita al taller escuela que se ubica al lado pude observar hermosas pinturas entre ellas
un mural de la obra "Creación de Adán", del conocido pintor Miguel Ángel, los colores se ven realmente bonitos y para observar los detalles tomé una foto completa del mural, luego una donde se ve Adán y en la siguiente el Creador acompañado con otros seres.
Luego me dirigí a la oficina y esta cuenta también con unos coloridos murales que representan la cultura de Venezuela, tenemos una chica con la típica vestimenta del callao para bailar calipso, una orquídea y coloridos cuadros que representan la diversidad cultural de este país, también se encuentran varias esculturas en tamaño pequeño, que representan a los próceres, entre los cuadros hay flores de variados colores propios de las diferentes regiones del país.

One of the paintings that caught my eye was a surrealist piece exploring dream worlds and mystical symbols. In fact, it was the first time I'd seen this particular painting, and I was completely unaware of its meaning. I asked the workshop leader, who explained that it represents surrealist expressions where mysticism and dreams converge.
The next image shows a color palette representing the continuous movement of society and how its energy increases before descending to complete calm. According to the explanation I received, the color blue symbolizes this calm and tranquility after a hectic and busy day. Moving on, we see a girl with a colorful turban in a forest with many flowers of various colors. The makeup on her face and body represents the cultural diversity present in Venezuela, a product of European colonization and the mixing of African, Indigenous, and European cultures.
Next, a very beautiful piece stands out for its abstract forms and ancestral motifs. The most curious thing is that it is made of terracotta or clay, using pointed tools to create the shapes in this striking painting. According to the information I received, the technique used is known as sgraffito. The artist traces lines until the desired shapes are achieved, combining many figures, colors, and geometric forms. Several circles, wings, and other figures can be seen, giving this painting a unique style.
Avanzando por el pasillo central, hay una figura de un hermoso payaso, el cual está hecho con foami de variados colores y decorado con cintas y lunares, el fondo de color negro permite que estos colores resalten y se vea muy bien, uno de los cuadros que llamó mi atención fue el del arte surrealista, que explora mundos oníricos y símbolos místicos, de hecho es la primera vez que veo este cuadro y desconocía por completo su significado, le pregunté al encargada del taller y me explicó que son expresiones surrealista donde converge el misticismo y los sueños.
El siguiente cuadro nos muestra una paleta de colores, que representa el continuo movimiento de la sociedad y como su energía se va incrementando para luego descender y estar en completa calma, de acuerdo a la explicación que me dieron el color azul simboliza esa calma y tranquilidad luego de un día agitado y ocupado, avanzando vemos una chica con un turbante colorido, está en un bosque con muchas flores de diversos colores, el maquillaje en la cara y en el cuerpo representa la diversidad cultural presente en Venezuela producto de la colonización por los europeos y el mestizaje que se dio entre la cultura Africana, Aborigen y Europea,
Luego una obra muy bonita, que resalta por su formas abstractas y motivos ancestrales, lo más curioso es que está hecha en terracota o arcilla, con el uso de herramientas puntiagudas para dar las formas a este llamativo cuadro, de acuerdo a la información que me dieron, la técnica que se emplea, se conoce como esgrafiado, el artista va trazando líneas hasta lograr las formas deseadas, también combina muchas figuras, colores y formas geométricas, se observan varios círculos alas y otras figuras que le dan un estilo único a este cuadro.
Continuing our tour, we see a painting depicting the old Santa Inés Church in Cumaná. It features several colorful houses and, in the background, the church towers. The watercolor technique, with its very subtle lines, represents the colonial houses located in the city center. The triangular roofs, semi-arched doorways, and a narrow street, similar to Santa Inés Street, lead to the church.
We also see several palm trees typical of this area. This painting combines different elements of the city that, although located in distant areas, are distinctive and characteristic of Cumaná. Next, we see a very beautiful painting of a young woman dressed in fuchsia surrounded by many butterflies. This was created to commemorate International Women's Day. I liked the design of the skirt, the flowers, and the pink color of the butterflies, which complements the girl's outfit perfectly. They were very creative in creating this beautiful silhouette that represents the essence of womanhood.
There is also a painting of Simón Bolívar, the Liberator of Venezuela, with many colors. His face is visible amidst the many hues of the painting. There are stars, circles, squares, rectangles, and a transparent sword among the color palette. At the end of the tour, on the side wall of the workshop, there is a mural also linked to the history of Venezuela and the arrival of the Europeans. There is a ship or caravel, and in the background, another one. You can see the waves, their great movement, and in the background, a view of the sun. Visiting this art school was a great experience because it allowed me to see beautiful paintings, created with different techniques. My favorite is definitely the one made with clay, which shows abstract and ancestral figures, inspired by the indigenous groups that inhabited Venezuelan territory and much of the American continent. Art is undoubtedly a great means of communication and a space for recreation.
Continuando con el recorrido, observamos un cuadro que representa a la antigua iglesia Santa Inés de Cumaná, se observan varias casas coloridas y al final las torres de la iglesia, es una técnica con acuarela y trazado muy sutil que representa las casas coloniales ubicadas en el centro de la ciudad, se ven los techos en forma triangular, las puertas son en forma de semi arco y una angosta calle, parecida a la Santa Inés, que conduce hasta la mencionada iglesia.
Se observan también varias palmeras típicas de esta zona, este cuadro combina diferente elementos de la ciudad que aunque están ubicados en áreas distantes, son distintivos y propios de la ciudad Cumaná, luego un cuadro muy bonito de una joven vestida con color fucsia y muchas mariposas a su alrededor, esta se elaboró para conmemorar el Día de la Mujer, me gustó el diseño de la falda, las flores y el color rosa de las mariposas, que combina muy bien con el vestuario de la chica, tuvieron mucha creatividad para hacer este esta hermosa silueta que representa la esencia de la mujer.
También hay un cuadro de Simón Bolívar El Libertador de Venezuela, con muchos colores, su rostro se observa entre los tantos colores que tiene la pintura, hay estrellas, círculos, cuadrados rectángulos y una espada transparente entre la paleta de colores, finalizando el recorrido, en la pared lateral del taller, se encuentra un mural vinculado también con la historia de Venezuela y la llegada de los europeos, hay un barco o carabela, al fondo se ve otra, se observan las olas, su gran movimiento y al fondo una vista del sol; visitar esta escuela de arte fue una gran experiencia porque me permitió conocer y ver hermosos cuadros, elaborados con diferentes técnicas, definitivamente mi favorito es el que está hecho con arcilla, que muestra figuras abstractas y ancestrales, inspirada en los grupos indígenas que habitaban el territorio Venezolano y gran parte del continente Americano, el arte sin duda es un gran medio de comunicación y un espacio para el esparcimiento.
