My little tour of Barsanti Square, a prominent meeting point in the city center (Eng - Esp)
Greetings friends lovers of architecture and design, I hope you had an excellent weekend and that this new week comes loaded with great blessings and much success in all the work you do, I am happy to share an architectural design of the state of Bolívar, today we will visit again the plaza los tubos also known as plaza Barsanti, in honor of the engineer who designed this beautiful structure, the plaza is located very close to the Altavista shopping center, on Caura street between Aro street and Nekuima avenue, its peculiar shape is very striking as it has several tubes along the land and in the central part a circular fountain with several tubes in the colors; green, blue and white, if you visit the Altavista shopping center or run errands in the city center, it is a must to go see this outstanding plaza that in addition to its particular style has spaces for the development of cultural activities.
The plaza is located on a corner and on the right side is one of the offices of the Venezuelan Guayana Corporation (C.V.G.), one of the most important companies in the state. The walkways are made of concrete with wavy rectangles and separated by horizontal gray columns. It also has several bushes, palm trees, and a fence made of pipes or staples. This fence serves as support when you move up the side stairs. The planters are green and gray in different shapes; circular, oval, and one that caught my attention is shaped like the letter C. It contains purple ornamental plants, grasses, and bushes. The oval planters are located at the end of the stairs that lead to the plaza's walkways. Among its decorations are also white wooden swans, strategically placed on one of the planters. To access the plaza there are concrete stairs, as well as to go to the central roundabout, which is surrounded by a fence made of pipes, these are gray, blue and green, very close to the roundabout there are several palm trees, after walking and taking a tour of the back of the fountain, we find several tubes with the mentioned colors and a silver tube wider than the previous ones, where you can read the name of the engineer Benvenuto Barsanti, who was in charge of developing the work, in addition this name corresponds to one of the most important construction companies in the state, which has carried out important buildings such as the Caruachi hydroelectric complex, also located in the state of Bolívar, the engineer's name is located at the top of the tube and on a brown plate, very close to the tube you can also see the drains of the square.
Saludos amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, deseo hayan tenido un excelente fin de semana y esta nueva semana venga cargada de grandes bendiciones y mucho éxito en todas las labores que realizan, me siento feliz de compartir un diseño arquitectónico del estado Bolívar, hoy visitaremos nuevamente la plaza los tubos conocida también como plaza Barsanti, en honor al ingeniero que diseñó esta hermosa estructura, la plaza se ubica muy cerca del centro comercial Altavista, en la calle Caura con calle Aro y carrera Nekuima, su peculiar forma es muy llamativa pues, tiene varios tubos a lo largo del terreno y en la parte central una fuente circular con varios tubos en los colores; verde, azul y blanco, si visitas el centro comercial Altavista o haces diligencias en el centro de la ciudad, es una cita obligada ir a conocer esta destacada plaza que además de su particular estilo cuenta con espacios para el desarrollo de actividades culturales.
La plaza se encuentra en una esquina y al lado derecho una de las oficinas de la Corporación Venezolana de Guayana (C.V.G.), una de las empresas más importantes del estado, las caminerías son de concreto con rectángulos ondulados y separadas por columnas horizontales de color gris, tiene también varios arbustos, palmeras y una cerca formada por tubos o grapas, está cerca sirve de soporte cuando te desplazas por las escaleras laterales, las jardineras son de color verde y gris con diferentes formas; circulares, ovaladas y una que llamó mi atención tiene forma de la letra C, en ella hay plantas ornamentales de color morado, gramas y arbustos, las jardineras ovaladas se ubican al final de la escalera que da acceso a las caminerías de la plaza, entre sus adornos se encuentran también unos cisnes de madera en color blanco, estratégicamente ubicados en una de las jardineras, para acceder a laplaza hay escaleras de concreto y también para dirigirse a la redoma central, la cual tiene a su alrededor una cerca formada por tubos, estos son de color gris, azul y verde, muy cerca de la redoma se encuentran varias palmeras, luego de caminar y hacer un recorrido por la parte trasera de la fuente, encontramos varios tubos con los colores mencionados y un tubo plateado más ancho que los anteriores, donde se lee el nombre del ingeniero Benvenuto Barsanti, quién fue el encargado de desarrollar la obra, además este nombre corresponde a una de las empresas constructoras más importantes del estado, que ha realizado importantes edificaciones como el complejo hidroeléctrico de Caruachi, ubicado también en el estado Bolívar, el nombre del ingeniero se encuentra en la parte superior del tubo y en una placa de color marrón, muy cerca del tubo se observan también los drenajes de la plaza.
Continuing on the tour, we come across a beautiful green planter, which in turn has a circular granite bench and around it are posts with LED bulbs. From this point, you can see part of the Altavista shopping center building. Then the stairs and perimeter fence of the fountain. This has a gray-painted concrete wall and at the top several pipes arranged in order of size, the small one goes below the large one. We see the drainage grates again. Then we come to the children's playground, which has swings, slides, mazes, benches, and other attractions for the little ones. A smiley face located in one of the mazes caught my attention. It's a kind of caterpillar where children can move until they reach the last section on the ground. Behind the park is the Citizen Protection Office, and we have a wider view of the planters and walkways.
The fountain has several tubes and in the center a main tube, larger gray, from which small tubes are detached, which lead the water to the tubes located around it, these in turn have other tubes, which carry water to the different spaces of the fountain to complete the cycle, in the blue circle of the fountain, the light bulbs are observed and the gray circle is decorated by small tubes, then the grass and finally a granite traffic circle that also serves as a bench.
Continuando en el recorrido, nos encontramos con una hermosa jardinera de color verde, la cual a su vez tiene un banco circular de granito y alrededor de ella están los postes con bombillos led, desde este punto, se observa parte del edificio del centro comercial Altavista. Luego las escaleras y cerca perimetral de la fuente, está tiene un muro de concreto pintado en color gris y en la parte superior varios tubos ubicados por orden de tamaño, el pequeño va debajo del grande, vemos nuevamente las rejillas para el drenaje y luego nos encontramos con el parque infantil, este cuenta con columpios, toboganes, laberintos bancos y otras atracciones para los más pequeños, me llamó la atención una carita feliz, ubicada en uno de los laberintos, es una especie de oruga donde los niños pueden desplazarse hasta llegar al último tramo en el suelo, detrás del parque se encuentra la oficina de protección al ciudadano y tenemos vista más amplia de las jardineras y caminerías.
La fuente cuenta con varios tubos y en el centro un tubo principal, más grande de color gris, desde el cual se desprenden pequeños tubos, que conducen el agua a los tubos ubicados alrededor de ella, estos tienen a su vez otros tubos, que llevan el agua a los diferentes espacios de la fuente para completar el ciclo, en el círculo azul de la fuente, se observan los bombillos y el círculo gris está decorado por pequeños tubos, luego la grama y finalmente una redoma de granito que también funciona como banco.
At the end of the tour we see a fence identifying the square in a round green planter, we can also see some of the walkways, another view of the playground and the trees of the square, then a green planter with a porrón at the top, in the back we can see the building of citizen attention, several planters and a small view of the insurance building Previsora, this is blue with white and at the top has circular windows, Visiting this square again was a nice experience, although it was a short tour because we were running errands downtown, I liked to see it again, it looks very clean, tidy and is a perfect place to rest, talk or simply contemplate the urban space, especially in the afternoon when the sun has gone down, because, as I have mentioned in previous publications, the weather in the state and in this city is warm with high temperatures.
Finalizando el trayecto vemos una valla de identificación de la plaza en una jardinera redonda de color verde, se observan también algunas de las caminerías, otra vista del parque infantil y los árboles de la plaza, luego una jardinera de color verde con un porrón en la parte superior, en la parte trasera se aprecia el edificio de atención al ciudadano, varias jardineras y una pequeña vista del edificio seguros la Previsora, este es de color azul con blanco y en la parte superior tiene ventana circulares, visitar esta plaza nuevamente fue una linda experiencia, aunque fue un recorrido corto debido a que estábamos realizando diligencias por el centro de la ciudad, me gustó verla otra vez, luce muy limpia, ordenada y es un lugar perfecto para descansar, conversar o sencillamente contemplar el espacio urbano, especialmente en horas de la tarde cuando el sol ha bajado, ya que, como lo he mencionado en publicaciones anteriores, el clima en el estado y en esta ciudad es cálido con elevadas temperaturas.
