Mini version of the Cumaná Castle: The dream of a bakery (Eng - Esp)

INGLÉS

Hello friends lovers of architecture and design happy and blessed start of the month in family unity, this time I share with you several photographs of a very particular building located in the parish Valentin Valiente in the city of Cumana, this is a building that has about three years, the purpose of its construction was to establish a modern bakery; With cafeteria services, pastry, tables and chairs to enjoy a delicious breakfast or dinner with family and friends, most bakeries in the city do not have the service of tables and chairs, are local where they sell different types of breads, deli and basic groceries such as corn flour, rice, spaghetti, sugar, which are the most used in the preparation of food.

This building is very striking for its similarity to the Castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, a cultural icon of the state of Sucre and Venezuela, which I shared in a previous post.

This incredible building has a very original color, a mixture of brown and light yellow that give an antique look to the design, I really liked this color, it has a touch of realism that makes it unique and attractive; in addition it is located in a corner which allows to have a wider view of the construction, in the front part there are three sentry boxes, a lateral wall, followed by a horizontal one that serves as a fence and front wall of the castle, in the upper part of the fence there are several block rectangles separated from each other, which give the construction a fortress style, the front door and window have a semi-arch shape and are made of wrought iron, inside they have many figures of diamonds with stars in the center, the window has a grille with figures in the form of a loop; Seeing these details makes me think that each one of them was well studied to decorate this great structure, which shows the opulences of a castle in each decorative element, consists of the first floor, which is the base of the castle and at the top emerges a small building where the princesses are supposed to live with all the required attentions, seeing this great architectural work is very exciting, reminds me of the castle mentioned above with the difference that the stories are absolutely nothing alike, the first has great stories ranging from the arrival of the Spanish to Venezuelan territory to the present, ; It is a place where different social and cultural events are regularly held, while this bakery reflects the history of a family or organization that wanted to bring a part of the heritage of the city to this strategic commercial area and for various reasons have not yet been able to crystallize the dream of putting into operation this bakery, I hope that in the very near future they can open it and have the opportunity to visit it to appreciate the interior of this mini version of the castle of Cumaná and enjoy a delicious dessert and coffee with my best friend.

In addition to the sentry boxes, it has five circular towers distributed in the front and right side, where another door of the same size as the front one is located separated by one of the towers, these like the walls of the building have brick rectangles in the upper part, advancing towards the back left part the remaining columns are observed, two windows with the same design of the front one, a rectangular door with white bars, which is very different from the other doors and windows of the castle, it can be the result of a remodeling or change of last moment to offer the necessary habitable conditions to this area, according to what can be observed a family inhabits the second floor of the building.

Following the route a little further back, a large gate supported by two columns can be seen. In this frame, the details of the columns, the base of two circles and vertical bricks can be seen in contrast to the rest of the building, which has a brick covering placed horizontally, seeing these abandoned buildings makes me sad because it is a very beautiful work with great potential that, among many reasons, is the unfinished project of a family whose intention is to work and offer excellent service to the community and highlight the culture and outstanding buildings of the state, when analyzing the details of the place I am moved by the similarity it has with the castle but on the other hand I think about the investment that this family and partners made to open the bakery and it has not been possible, in addition the lack of care and maintenance is notorious In this great architectural work, the doors look discolored as well as the front floor, according to the information provided by a resident of the area, in the internal part there are still areas to be completed as well as the terrace that can be seen in the front. where the administration office of the bakery would work, so far my tour of this beautiful work of architecture and design, I sincerely hope that this place can be inaugurated very soon and that many customers can visit this wonderful construction.

A very interesting construction, it would be nice if many people with capital would try to recreate these iconic buildings of the city and its history, this type of business should have help from the government as they contribute to the adornment and tourism for the city, it is a pity that it was not completed.

Greetings @soychabel, a very interesting proposal no doubt, recreate the iconic buildings of the city, will allow new generations to know part of the architectural and cultural history of the entity, I wish you could recreate the birthplace of Andres Eloy Blanco, I loved this house, has so many details, furniture and history to know, and would be a great contribution to tourism in the city a replica of it.

Happy and blessed day!

Is the bakery still operating in making pastry? I guess it's like a museum or historical building, it's interesting if the building is still operational.

Hello @aswita, the bakery is not yet in operation, the premises is a small replica of an emblematic castle of the city, declared cultural heritage of the nation, we hope that in the future it can open and offer delicious breads and pastries to customers.

Greetings and blessings!

I loved it, I hope they can inaugurate it very soon, this type of construction undoubtedly gives a good impression to the city. I don't know but it came to my mind and thinking about the fact that it was a house as such, uff great. In Venezuela there are many things to admire. Thank you very much for bringing this wonder.

How interesting, when I saw the cover, I actually thought it was the real castle, I don't know it but I have seen many pictures of it. What a nice replica, I would love to know if your interior also holds any similarities.

Greetings @doriangel, it is a very interesting replica of the Castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, I liked the color is the ideal combination to give an antique effect, the interior I could not see it because it is closed, it was built to make a bakery but still does not work and it is very sad because the building is deteriorating, it has several holes in the walls and the doors are somewhat rusty, hopefully soon they can open the bakery.

Blessings!

Greetings @belkyscabrera is amazing a replica of a catillo for a bakery, it is unfortunate that it is not finished, these situations worry in Venezuela because there are good unfinished projects. Thank you for presenting details of this abandoned construction.

@belkyscabrera, really? In Cumana? I have family there on my father's side. My dad was from Quiri quri.

How proud of this post and photos I feel, plus I didn't know about this beautiful place. The pictures invite me to visit it

I wish the early activation of this area, it also makes me sad the situation.

Thanks for this post😘✨

Hello @mosa71, this is a small replica of the castle San Antonio de la Eminencia in the city of Cumaná, ah your dad is from Quiri quiri, is a beautiful town in the state of Monagas, well known because there are several hot springs, I had the opportunity to visit it years ago and I liked it.

This construction has very interesting elements like the columns and sentry boxes that invite you to visit and explore each space, it is a pity that it is still not active and little by little it is deteriorating.

Greetings and blessings!

Wow! I was almost deceived by my initial impression of that building. If you didn't mention it, I never thought it was a bakery! The builders definitely achieved an outstanding job in being as close as possible to that iconic Venezuelan castle. I look forward to that establishment's grand opening and can't wait to witness its interesting interiors. Thank you for this marvelous feature dear @belkyscabrera! 😊👍

Hello @storiesoferne, this small replica of the castle of Cumaná is impressive, from the colors to the details of the external decoration give the impression of a real fortress, since I saw it I found it interesting, it has an excellent location that allows to appreciate in front and side angle the wonders of this construction and its similarity with the castle San Antonio de la Eminencia, it is a pity that they have not yet opened its doors to the public and it is deteriorating due to lack of maintenance, the architect was very attentive to every detail especially in the design of the sentry boxes and columns, they seem so real, also placed them in strategic points that give relevance to the building, my favorite is the one that is located in the column that joins the front and side, it is definitely the perfect position to capture the attention, if his goal was to highlight the building he achieved it in a spectacular way, this construction is imposed on the block, you can even see it when you go down the main avenue.

I also hope that soon they can inaugurate this bakery to enjoy a delicious dessert and most importantly see the interior of this outstanding building.

Have a great week!

Greetings @belkyscabrera, This building looks like a castle, designed with very interesting architectural features. It is clear that some of the castle-like cabins are very impressively constructed. I have a doubt whether any damage may occur while using this building for commercial purposes. However you have published very interesting architectural publication.

Greetings @madushanka, it is an incredible building with an excellent work of architecture and design that make it stand out in the block, I do not think that the commercial use affects its facade, if you look in detail the sentry boxes are strategically located two in front and the other at the end very close to the gate, with this I assume that the oven should be located in the central part of the building, distant from the sentry boxes that by design seem to be the most fragile parts of the building and are the main ornament of the building.

Have a happy and blessed day!
