Exhibition of digital abstract art at the Andrés Eloy Blanco House Museum (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers around the world, it's a pleasure to greet you. I wish you an excellent and blessed day with your loved ones. On this occasion, I'm sharing my visit to the abstract digital art exhibition at the Andrés Eloy Blanco House Museum. It's located on Sucre Street in Cumaná, near Bolívar Square and next to the Governor's Office.
In this house, you have the opportunity to see the furniture, kitchen utensils, and other items that belonged to the family of the illustrious poet. You can also admire the architectural design of colonial houses, with two side corridors, a central garden, the kitchen at the back, and a patio with many trees where the family would gather for afternoon tea.
The exhibition was held on February 3rd to commemorate the birth of the Cumaná hero Antonio José de Sucre and showcases the skills of the painter who specialized in abstract art. When I received the invitation, I thought the exhibition was about several abstract paintings alluding to the life of the Grand Marshal; that was my expectation until I arrived and read on the poster on the facade that the exhibition was being held as a tribute to the Cumaná hero and showcasing the mostly abstract works of this great artist who was also born in the city.
Hola amigos viajeros en todo el mundo, es un placer saludarles deseo que tengan un excelente y bendecido día en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto mi visita a la exhibición de arte digital abstracto, realizada en la casa museo Andrés Eloy Blanco, esta se ubica en la calle Sucre de cumaná cerca de la plaza Bolívar y al lado de la gobernación.
En esta casa tienes la oportunidad de conocer el mobiliario, utensilios de cocina, entre otros, que pertenecieron a la familia del ilustre poeta también admirar el diseño arquitectónico de las casas coloniales, con dos pasillos laterales un jardín central, la cocina en la parte final y un patio con muchos árboles donde se reunía el grupo familiar a compartir el té de la tarde.
La exhibición se realizó el 3 de febrero para conmemorar el natalicio del prócer cumanés Antonio José de Sucre y muestra las habilidades del pintor quien se especializó en el arte abstracto, cuando recibí la invitación pensé que la exposición se trataba de varias pinturas abstractas alusivas a la vida del Gran Mariscal, esa era mi expectativa hasta que llegué y leí en el afiche de la fachada, que la exhibición se realizaba como un homenaje al prócer cumanés y dando a conocer las obras en su mayoría abstractas, de este gran artista que también es nacido en la ciudad.
I've rarely visited abstract art exhibitions, but I must say I really enjoyed this one for its striking colors and the concept behind each painting, where the artist reflects his emotions, experiences, and connection to his surroundings. The works were strategically placed throughout the museum. In the main gallery, there were several images, including a portrait of a young man. This painting surprised me; I even thought it was a photograph. When I read the caption carefully and looked closely, I realized it was a portrait. This artist's skill is truly impressive and completely breaks away from the typical abstract art style that dominated this exhibition.
Each painting is printed on glossy paper and placed in its respective display. The event began with greetings from the museum staff, followed by a presentation from the artist, who explained the inspiration and motivation behind each painting.
After a very moving talk, the attendees had the opportunity to go to the different spaces and observe this beautiful work of art. My first stop was in the main room where the piano is located, and the painting that caught my attention the most was the portrait. The others are striking because of their colors, and although it took me a little while to understand the meaning and grasp the essence of each one, in the end I managed to understand the artist's work to some extent.
Abstract art is not as simple as it seems, not just drawing meaningless lines or colors. Behind these figures, which may seem insignificant to us, there is work and brushstrokes, full of emotions that the artist tries to transmit to those who come to see these beautiful creations. I took a leisurely tour through each of the spaces and I liked the great combination of colors. There are paintings that, just with the colors, demonstrate the emotion and joy that the artist feels at that moment; others, however, reflect sadness and pain.
En muy pocas ocasiones he visitado exhibiciones de arte abstracto, pero debo decir que esta me gustó mucho por sus colores llamativos y el concepto de cada pintura, donde el autor refleja sus emociones, vivencias y conexión con el entorno, las obras se ubicaron estratégicamente en los diferentes espacios del museo, en la sala general habían varias imágenes, entre ellas el retrato de un joven; me sorprendió esta pintura, incluso creí que se trataba de una foto, cuando leí detenidamente y observé era un retrato, la habilidad de este señor es realmente impresionante y se sale totalmente del patrón del arte abstracto, que fue el que dominó en esta exhibición.
Cada pintura está impresa papel glasé colocadas en sus respectivos, parales la actividad iinició con los correspondientes saludos del personal encargado de la casa museo y posteriormente la participación del artista, quien explicó en forma general la inspiración y motivación detrás de cada cuadro.
Luego de una charla muy emotiva los asistentes tuvimos la oportunidad de dirigirnos a los diferentes espacios y observar esta hermosa obra de arte, mi primera parada fue en la sala principal donde se ubica el piano y el cuadro que más me llamó la atención fue el retrato, los otros son vistosos por sus colores y aunque me costó un poco entender el significado y captar la esencia de cada uno de ellos, al final logré comprender medianamente el trabajo del artista.
El arte abstracto no es tan sencillo como parece, trazar líneas sin sentido o colores, detrás de estas figuras que aunque nos parezcan insignificantes hay un trabajo y pinceladas, cargadas de emociones que el artista intenta transmitir a quienes acuden a ver estas hermosas creaciones, hice un recorrido pausado por cada uno de los espacios y me gustó la gran combinación de colores, hay cuadros que solo con los colores demuestran la emoción y la alegría que tiene el artista en ese momento, otros sin embargo reflejan tristeza y dolor.
As I wandered through each aisle and observed the paintings, I was struck by the combination of colors and brushstrokes. One of them is a fuchsia piece that seems to be shaped like the letter D, followed by a brushstroke with circular shapes. Another painting I particularly liked, besides the portrait, is the one titled "Nostalgia," which combines blue, red, yellow, and purple lines. In it, the artist expresses his nostalgia for the departure of a loved one at sunset. According to his explanation, he associates these colors with the setting sun gradually covering the sky until night finally arrives. Another painting is linked to the Guayana region and gold. This one combines yellow, red, and black, and you can see between the lines a kind of machine indicating where the mineral resources are extracted.
Each painting explains the artist's experiences and emotions. To be honest, I really liked the color combinations, and after each explanation, I was able to understand their meaning. There's a painting with red stains and lines that represents passion, love, and pain. These are interconnected because loving someone brings pain when you see them face adversity, and the artist reflected this with the color red. He also used purple and brown strokes, which, depending on their application, represent a person's resilience over the years. There's also a painting with red lines that represent progress; you can see several columns and flashes of red and white.
It was a wonderful experience attending this abstract art exhibition, where every brushstroke and every color tells a story full of emotions and feelings. After visiting each of the stands and looking at the paintings closely, I made another stop at the portrait. Every detail and the paintwork in this piece is well-executed and combined, which adds a realistic touch. Art is definitely a form of communication and expression where the artist conveys their ideas, and each visitor interprets them from their own perspective.
Mientras recorría cada pasillo y observaba los cuadros me llamó la atención la combinación de colores y trazos, una de ellas es la de color fucsia que parece tener forma de letra D, luego una pincelada con formas circulares, otro de los cuadros que más me gustó además de el retrato es el que lleva por nombre nostalgia, el cual combina líneas azules, rojas, amarillas y moradas donde el autor expresa su nostalgia por la partida de un ser querido en el atardecer, según su explicación estos colores los asocia con el ocaso del sol que van cubriendo el cielo hasta que finalmente llega la noche, otro de los cuadros es el vinculado con la región de guayana y el oro este combina los colores amarillo rojo y negro y se puede ver entre líneas una especie de máquina que indica de dónde se extraen los recursos minerales.
Cada cuadro explica vivencias y emociones del pintor, siendo honesta la combinación de colores me gustó mucho y luego de cada explicación pude entender el significado de ellos, hay un cuadro con manchas y líneas de color rojo el cual representa la pasión, amor y el dolor, se relacionan entre sí, porque amar trae consigo dolor al ver al ser querido enfrentar situaciones adversas y lo reflejó con el color rojo, utilizó también trazos morados y marrón, según su aplicación estos representan la resiliencia de la persona con el paso de los años, hay también un cuadro con líneas rojas que representan el progreso, se ven varias columnas y destellos de color rojo y blanco.
Fue una linda experiencia asistir a esta exposición de arte abstracto, donde cada pincelada y cada color cuenta una historia cargada de emociones y sentimientos, luego de visitar cada uno de los stand y ver los cuadros detenidamente, hice otra parada en el en el retrato, cada detalle y la pintura de este cuadro están bien trazados y combinado, lo cual agrega ese toque realista, definitivamente el arte es una forma de comunicación y expresión, donde el artista plasma sus ideas y cada visitante la interpreta desde su perspectiva.
