El Nula Church, a beautiful design in the Apureña savannahs (Eng - Esp)
Hello friends lovers of architecture and design, it is a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to El nula, a town located west of Apure state bordering the Andean region (Tachira state), is the capital of the parish of San Camilo and considered the border of the Apurean plains, the predominant economic activities in the region are agriculture and livestock, since I saw the beautiful landscapes I liked this area, My visit coincided with the arrival of the rains which allowed me to observe the grass and vegetation of a striking green color, also the incredible view of the mountain and enjoy the pleasant climate with average temperatures and what I liked most was to see the mountain covered with fog, it is a beautiful place to admire the wonders of nature in the endless savannah surrounded by the mountain, it is a small town, ideal for family vacations and observe part of the Andes mountain range.
The designs of the houses are varied and most of them are made of concrete. Throughout the savannah there are also houses or huts made of mud and palm roofs, which are regularly used as warehouses and storage of crops, some of them are also the residence of the families that live in the dense jungle and are dedicated to agricultural and livestock work.
Hola amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a El nula, una población ubicada al oeste del estado Apure que limita con la región andina (estado Táchira), es la capital de la parroquia san Camilo y considerada el confín del llano apureño, las actividades económicas predominantes en la región son la agricultura y ganadería, desde que vi los lindos paisajes me gustó esta zona, mi visita coincidió con la llegada de las lluvias lo que me permitió observar la grama y vegetación de un llamativo color verde, además la increíble vista de la montaña y disfrutar el agradable clima con temperaturas promedio y lo que más me gustó fue ver la montaña cubierta de neblina, es un hermoso lugar para admirar las maravillas de la naturaleza en la sabana infinita rodeada por la montaña, es un pueblo pequeño, ideal para vacacionar en familia y observar parte de la cordillera de los Andes.
Los diseños de las casas son variados y en su mayoría están hechas de concreto, a lo largo de la sabana también se observan casas o chozas elaboradas con barro y techo de palma, las cuales son usadas regularmente como depósito y almacenamiento de cultivos, algunas de ellas también constituyen la residencia de las familias que habitan en la espesa selva y se dedican a las labores agropecuarias.
During the tour, besides observing the wide savannah with the mountain in the background I could see the church, this is located in the center of town is yellow and stands out for its striking facade, which has three doors in semicircular arch, double leaf and at the top a wooden arch with squares carved in high relief, the center door is wider and in front of it there are three columns resting on a rectangular granite base, on top of the central door we see a circular window that allows the entry of air and sunlight, The upper facade has a triangular shape and in the center a white circle with a flower design, above the main columns there are two white columns, these are also at the ends but are wider than the center ones, above the white circle there is a small cornice with white edges, the yellow columns that support the facade are divided into squares and at the top there is a small platform where the large upper triangle of the facade rests.
When reviewing the photos I realized that in one of them a beautiful bird was flying, it also caught my attention that the church has no windows in the front, very few churches that I have visited have this feature, because regularly there are windows in this part but this one only has a kind of skylight above the central door; as you can see in the photo the benches are wide and wooden and are located in rows that match the two doors located on each side of the central door, it shows a wide aisle leading to the altar.
Durante el recorrido, además de observar la amplia sabana con la montaña al fondo pude ver la iglesia, esta se encuentra en el centro del pueblo es de color amarillo y resalta por su llamativa fachada, la cual tiene tres puertas en arco de medio punto, doble hoja y en la parte superior un arco de madera con cuadrados tallados en alto relieve, la puerta del centro es más amplia y al frente de ella hay tres columnas que reposan en una base rectangular de granito, en la parte superior de la puerta central vemos una ventana circular que permite la entrada del aire y la luz solar, en los bordes tiene un círculo de color blanco y en el centro rejas blancas que forman una cruz, la fachada superior tiene forma triangular y en el centro un círculo de color blanco con un diseño de flor, encima de las columnas principales hay dos columnas de color blanco, estas también se encuentran en los extremos pero son más amplias que las del centro, encima del círculo blanco hay una pequeña cornisa con los bordes igualmente de color blanco, las columnas amarillas que sirven de soporte a la fachada están divididas en cuadrados y en la parte superior tienen una pequeña plataforma donde reposa el gran triángulo superior de la fachada.
Al revisar las fotos me di cuenta que en una de ellas salió una hermosa ave mientras volaba, también me llamó la atención que la iglesia no tiene ventanas en la parte delantera, muy pocas Iglesias de la que de las que he visitado tienen esta característica, pues regularmente hay ventanas en esta parte pero esta solo tiene una especie de tragaluz encima de la puerta central; como se puede observar en la foto los bancos son amplios y de madera además están ubicados en filas que coinciden con las dos puertas ubicadas a cada lado de la puerta central, en ella se aprecia un amplio pasillo que conduce hasta el altar.
On the left side is the tower, a large yellow column, with four divisions, the roof is triangular covered with tiles and above it rises an iron cross, the tower is divided into four strips and in each of them there are several black murals with white background, according to information from a resident, they are murals that correspond to prominent figures of the church, next to the tower is the parish house, it is yellow with white bars, In front of the church there are concrete benches covered with bricks, the church is located on the main avenue and is a very busy area, near it are commercial establishments and important meeting points of the city, although the church was open at the time of my visit, I could not enter because they were doing cleaning work, but from what I could see the interior is very nice and the altar has a beautiful design.
It was a nice experience to visit this church, although I could not explore the interior space, I liked the facade of the church, as well as its color and location, in the background you can see part of the mountain, which creates a beautiful landscape.
Al lado izquierdo se encuentra la torre, una gran columna de color amarillo, con cuatro divisiones, el techo es triangular cubierto con tejas y encima se eleva una cruz de hierro, la torre está dividida en cuatro franjas y en cada una de ellas se aprecian varios murales de color negro con fondo blanco, según información de un residente, son murales que corresponden a destacados personajes de la iglesia, al lado de la torre se encuentra la casa parroquial, es de color amarillo con rejas blancas, al frente de la iglesia hay bancos de concreto cubiertos con ladrillos, la iglesia se ubica en la avenida principal y es una zona muy concurrida, cerca de ella se encuentran los establecimientos comerciales e importantes puntos de encuentro de la ciudad, aunque la iglesia estaba abierta a la hora de mi visita, no pude entrar porque estaban haciendo las labores de limpieza, pero por lo que pude ver el interior es muy bonito y el altar tiene un hermoso diseño.
Fue una linda experiencia conocer esta iglesia, aunque no pude explorar el espacio interior, la fachada de la iglesia me gustó, así como su color y ubicación, al fondo se observa parte de la montaña, lo cual crea un hermoso paisaje.
