Greetings traveling friends, I wish you have an excellent day, it is a pleasure to share a short tour of the town of Santa Barbara de Tapirin, capital of the municipality of the same name, this beautiful town is located in the state of Monagas, and is part of the coastal mountain region in the eastern plains, it is characterized by being an area of agricultural production, and oil production, in its territory is the cryogenic complex of the east that processes gas, the municipality is located at an intersection of the national highway Maturín - Puerto la Cruz, in the sector known as the cruise, which gives access to Punta de Mata, the Tejero Santa Barbara and Puerto la Cruz, last week the opportunity arose to get to know this beautiful town so we took advantage of it as best we could, since several errands had to be done, we started with a short tour of San Agustín street you can see several houses with different designs, in the background you can see a small mountain and several trees, our walk was in the morning, the sky was clear, barely a few clouds were seen, the street is long and on it is the clinic that bears the same name as the street.
Saludos amigos viajeros, deseo que tengan un excelente día, es un placer compartir un pequeño recorrido por la población de santa Bárbara de Tapirín, capital del municipio homónimo, este hermoso pueblo se encuentra ubicado en el estado Monagas, y forma parte de la región costa montaña en los llanos orientales, se caracteriza por ser una zona de producción agrícola, y de producción petrolera, en su teriotorio se encuentra el complejo criogénico de oriente que procesa gas, el municipio está ubicado en una intersección de la carretera nacional Maturín - Puerto la Cruz, en el sector conocido como el crucero, que da acceso a Punta de Mata, el Tejero Santa bárbara y Puerto la cruz, la semana pasada se presentó la oportunidad de conocer este hermoso pueblo así que la aprovechamos lo mejor que pudimos, pues se debían realizar varias diligencias, iniciamos con un pequeño recorrido por la calle San Agustín se observan varias casas con diferentes diseños, al fondo se ve una pequeña montaña y varios árboles, nuestro paseo fue en horas de la mañana, el cielo estaba despejado, apenas se veían algunas nubes, la calle es larga y en ella se encuentra la clínica que lleva el mismo nombre de la calle.
After our tour down San Agustín Street, we headed towards the museum, named after the city, the Santa Bárbara de Tapirín Museum. It is located on a corner and is a two-story structure with a tongue-and-groove roof, glass doors, and a cornice that juts out from the upper floor, which is covered with caico. I liked the design of this building, which is simple but very elegant. We couldn't get in because it wasn't open to the public yet. I really wanted to see the interior design and the different works of art, but it wasn't possible. Maybe another time. At the main door, there are two granite steps. In the reception room, you can see the flags of Venezuela, the state of Monagas, and the municipality of Santa Bárbara. There are also two paintings hanging on the wall. Next to the main door, there is a small garden, and the column is covered with caico. As you pass through the door, you can see a gray star on the floor. At the top of the building, you can see some curtains, giving a better view.
From there we moved on to the cultural center, named after Simón Bolívar. It is a large house with several semi-arched doors. Next to the doors are several windows, two small ones at the top and a larger one next to them. Its design is characteristic of the colonial style. The roof is also made of wood and covered with tiles. It has a black perimeter fence with white columns. The floor is red and also has side planters marking the entrance. This structure reminds me of the famous mansions of wealthy families in the colony. Each arch is separated by a white column decorated with a golden square at the top. Like the museum, it was also closed.
Luego de nuestro recorrido por la calle San Agustín, nos dirigimos hacia el museo, este recibe el nombre de la ciudad, museo Santa Bárbara de Tapirín, se encuentra en una esquina y es una estructura de dos plantas, con techo de machihembrado, puertas de vidrio, una cornisa que sobresale desde el piso superior, la cual está cubierta con caico, me gustó el diseño de este edificio que es sencillo pero muy elegante, no pudimos entrar porque aún no estaba abierto al público, tenía muchas ganas de conocer el diseño interior y las diferentes obras de arte, pero no fue posible, tal vez en otra ocasión, en la puerta principal hay dos escalones de granito, en la sala de recepción se observan las banderas de Venezuela, del estado Monagas y del municipio santa Bárbara, también dos cuadros colgados en la pared; al lado de la puerta principal hay un pequeño jardín y la columna está cubierta con caico, al pasar la puerta se aprecia en el piso una estrella de color gris, en la parte de arriba del edificio se observan unas cortinas y una mejor vista del edificio.
Desde allí avanzamos hasta la casa de la cultura, cuyo nombre es casa cultural como Simón Bolívar, es una casa amplia con varias puertas en forma de semi arco, al lado de las puertas hay varias ventanas, dos pequeñas en la parte superior y al lado de ellas una más grande, su diseño es característico del estilo colonial, el techo es también de madera, cubierto con tejas, tiene una reja perimetral de color negro con columnas blancas, el piso es de color rojo, tiene también jardineras laterales que demarcan la entrada, esta estructura me recuerda las famosas casonas, de las familias pudientes en la colonia, cada arco está separado por una columna blanca decorada con un cuadrado dorado en la parte superior; al igual que el museo también estaba cerrada.
Continuing our tour and the failed missions at the museum and the cultural center, we took another avenue and arrived at the José Pelón Uray stadium. Very close to this stadium is also the Santa Bárbara indoor gymnasium. We were also able to see the Benjamín Briceño Marten High School, which has a beautiful structure and a wide covered walkway that leads to the main entrance. On one side there are red benches with planters next to them. You can see the open-air field, several offices and classrooms, and many trees on the grounds. I liked the surroundings of this educational center; it looks like a pleasant and very cool place. Next, we observed the structure of the indoor gymnasium and the stadium. The gymnasium has a field with a green roof and grass in front, and the stadium's blue and red stands can be seen.
Although the main objective of the walk was to visit the cultural center and the museum, but it was not possible, it was a nice walk through this beautiful oriental town, I liked the natural environment that characterizes this place and its varied buildings, but definitely my favorite was the structure of the museum, it is a very nice design, simple, but at the same time elegant, I hope on a next visit to be able to visit the cultural center, the museum and other spaces of this beautiful Monagas town.
Continuando con nuestro recorrido y las misiones fallidas en el museo y la casa de la cultura, tomamos otra avenida y llegamos al estadio José Pelón Uray, muy cerca de este estadio se encuentra también el gimnasio cubierto de Santa Bárbara, también pudimos ver el liceo Benjamín Briceño Marten, el cual tiene una hermosa estructura y un amplio pasillo techado que conduce a la puerta principal, en uno de los costados hay bancos de color rojo con jardineras al lado, se aprecia la cancha al aire libre varias oficinas y aulas, también muchos árboles en el terreno, el entorno de este centro educativo me gustó se ve un lugar agradable y muy fresco, luego observamos la estructura del gimnasio cubierto y el estadio, el gimnasio tiene una cancha con techo verde y césped al frente, en el estadio se observan las gradas de color azul y rojo.
Aunque el objetivo principal del paseo era conocer la casa de la cultura y el museo, pero no se pudo, fue un lindo paseo por este hermoso pueblo oriental, me gustó el entorno natural que caracteriza a este lugar y sus variadas construcciones, pero definitivamente mi favorita fue la estructura del museo, es un diseño muy bonito, sencillo, pero a la vez elegante, espero en una próxima visita poder conocer la casa de la cultura, el museo y otros espacios de este hermoso pueblo monaguense.
