Afternoon walk through the Indian and the Monk monument area (Eng - Esp)
Hello, hello fellow travelers, it's a pleasure to greet you and hope you have a wonderful day with your loved ones. On this occasion, I'm sharing my visit to the monument located on the perimeter avenue of Cumaná, where, among other attractions, you'll find a sculpture called the Monk and the Indian, which symbolizes the Christianization of the first inhabitants of Venezuela, who were several aboriginal families spread across the coasts and mountains of the territory. This place is also considered the gateway to the continent and is a prominent icon of the city for its historical, cultural, and timeless value. It's a very popular area in the afternoon and morning for hiking, strolling, aerobics, and sports and recreational activities. If you visit in the afternoon, you can enjoy the spectacular view at sunset, which contrasts with the immense sea.
This area also has a park for the little ones, bars, and exercise machines. It also has an aerobic walkway with several steps for exercising. I visited this beautiful part of the city with my son, a friend, and her son, who is a friend of my son. In the afternoon, we headed to this part of the city because we wanted to watch the sunset, get some exercise, and walk. The day was clear and sunny. Upon arrival, we warmed up a bit and then hit the exercise machines. The kids went to play in the park. After an hour on the machines, we began the walk from the aforementioned monument to the Marinas Plaza shopping center, located near the passenger terminal. Our walk was approximately five kilometers.
Hola, hola amigos viajeros, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan un excelente día en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión comparto mi visita al sector el monumento ubicado en la avenida perimetral de Cumaná, en el cual se encuentran entre otros atractivos, una escultura denominada el Monje y el Indio, que simboliza la cristianización de los primeros habitantes de Venezuela, que eran varias familias aborígenes distribuidas en las costas y montañas del territorio, este lugar se considera también la puerta de entrada al continente y es un icono destacado de la ciudad por su valor histórico, cultural y vigencia en el tiempo, es un sector muy concurrido en horas de la tarde y de la mañana, para realizar caminatas, paseos, aerobics, actividades deportivas y recreativas, si vas de visita en la tarde puedes disfrutar la espectacular vista en el ocaso del sol, que contrasta con el inmenso mar.
Esta zona cuenta además, con parque para los más pequeños de la casa barras y máquinas para realizar ejercicios tiene también un paseo aeróbico con varios escalones para para ejercitarse, mi visita a este hermoso lugar de la ciudad la hice compañía de mi hijo, una amiga y su hijo que es amigo de mi hijo, en horas de la tarde nos dirigimos hasta este punto de la ciudad pues queríamos observar el atardecer, hacer un poco de ejercicio y caminar, el día estaba despejado y con un sol radiante, al llegar hicimos un poco de calentamiento y posteriormente nos ubicamos en las máquinas de ejercicios, los niños se fueron a jugar en el parque, luego de una hora en las máquinas, iniciamos la caminata desde el monumento mencionado, hasta el centro comercial marinas plaza, ubicado cerca del terminal de pasajeros, nuestro recorrido fue de aproximadamente cinco kilómetros.
I have walked past the perimeter avenue on several occasions, and on this visit I noticed that they have added a paddle tennis court and beach volleyball courts. During the walk I could see a large group of people, both adults and children, playing and having fun in these new spaces, which aim to promote family fun and recreation for well-being, in an area close to the beach shore, which offers a beautiful landscape.
As evening fell I couldn't miss the beautiful spectacle in the sky with the beautiful colors in the clouds that indicate that the day is coming to an end, the sunset is one of the natural events that I like the most, the palette of colors in the sky and the reflection of the sun in the sea create a great contrast that I love, I made a slight pause in the walk, to take pictures of the sunset and the view is simply beautiful, I really love this landscape, its colors and nuances are unique and remind me of the trips in my childhood to the beach 🏖️ with my family, the seascape 🏙️ is charming and relaxing especially when you watch the sunset 🌇 and the fresh breeze caresses the skin.
En varias oportunidades he pasado por la avenida perimetral y en esta visita me di cuenta que agregaron una cancha de pádel y canchas de voleibol playero, durante la caminata pude ver que había un nutrido grupo de personas entre adultos y niños jugando y divirtiéndose en estos nuevos espacios, que tienen como objetivo fomentar la diversión y esparcimiento familiar para el bienestar, en un área cercana a la orilla de la playa, que ofrece un hermoso paisaje.
Al caer la tarde no podía perderme el hermoso espectáculo en el cielo con los hermosos colores en las nubes que indican que el día está llegando a su fin, el ocaso del sol es uno de los eventos naturales que más me gusta, la paleta colores en el cielo y el reflejo del sol en el mar crean un gran contraste que me encanta, hice una ligera pausa en la caminata, para tomar fotos del atardecer y la vista es sencillamente hermosa, este paisaje realmente lo amo, sus colores y matices son únicos y me recuerdan los viajes en mi infancia a la playa 🏖️ con mi familia, el paisaje 🏙️ marino es encantador y relajante especialmente cuando observas el atardecer 🌇 y la fresca brisa acaricia la piel.
The highlight of the walk was the Marinas Plaza shopping center, which boasts an excellent location and beautiful views of the ocean. From the top, you can see the beauty of the beach and a small pier located next to it. The view from there is very beautiful and ideal for taking beautiful photographs with the ocean in the background. Very close to this establishment is a tennis court. Tennis enthusiasts gather here starting at 6 p.m. to practice and practice their routines.
I hadn't gone out at night for several months, and it was a wonderful experience to see the monument at night, along with the city lights and their brilliance. The tennis court has several lights and ample parking for visitors. From its location, you can also see part of the bay and the pier. Regularly, at dusk, I go back home 🏡🏠 but this time we decided to stay longer, to observe the seascape at night, the children also liked the walk along the beach at night, to the point that they wanted to stay a little longer, we explained to them that the next day they had to go to class therefore we had to return so they could go to bed early and rest, once at home we had dinner and then we went to sleep and renew energy for the new day.
El punto culminante de la caminata, fue el centro comercial marinas plaza, el cual cuenta con una excelente ubicación y hermosas vistas al mar, desde la parte superior puedes observar la belleza de la playa y un pequeño muelle ubicado al lado, la vista desde allí es muy hermosa e ideal para hacer lindas fotografías con el mar al fondo, muy cerca de este establecimiento se encuentra una cancha de tenis, los amantes de este deporte a partir de las 6 de la tarde se dan cita a este lugar para realizar sus prácticas y rutinas.
Tenía varios meses que no salía en horas nocturnas y fue una linda experiencia, ver el monumento en horas de la noche, las luces de la ciudad y el brillo de esta, la cancha de tenis cuenta con varias luminarias y un amplio estacionamiento para sus visitantes, desde su ubicación se puede observar también parte la bahía y el muelle; regularmente, ya al caer la tarde, voy de regreso a casa 🏡🏠 pero en esta oportunidad decidimos quedarnos más tiempo, para observar el paisaje marino en la noche, a los niños también les gustó el paseo por la playa en horas nocturnas, a tal punto que se querían quedar un rato más, les explicamos que al día siguiente debían ir a clase por lo tanto teníamos que regresar para que se acostaran temprano y descansaran, ya en casa cenamos y luego nos fuímos a dormir y renovar energía para la nueva jornada del día.
