A short tour along the coast of the eastern region (Eng - Esp)
The eastern region of Venezuela boasts beautiful destinations for nature lovers, beachgoers, water sports enthusiasts, mountain lovers, and those seeking extreme adventures. This time, I'm sharing a short tour of the states of Anzoátegui, Nueva Esparta, and Sucre, which are renowned for their beautiful and lush beaches. We begin our journey in Mochima National Park, one of the largest natural parks in the country. It's located between the states of Anzoátegui and Sucre on the Cumaná-Puerto la Cruz highway. After traveling several kilometers, a turnoff leads to the town of Mochima, and you'll soon arrive at the National Park. The park is expansive and can be viewed from the highway, which sits atop a high point on the opposite side. It meets the coastal mountain range, formed by large masses of rocks and trees. These formations are prone to landslides during the rainy season, which can impede passage and communication between the two states.
The highway offers stunning coastal scenery, with several beaches located along the way, in addition to those within the park itself. Among them are Arapo, Arapito, Vallecito, Santa Cruz, Playa Colorada, Los Hicacos, and others, which are easily accessible due to their proximity to the main road. Mochima Park offers lodging, restaurant service, and boat tours, which are the most popular with visitors, as well as diving areas. It's a wonderful experience to take the boat tour and visit the beaches. My favorites are Las Maritas, La Gabarra, and Playa Blanca, with their soft, relaxing sand that lives up to their names. During the tour, you can also spot coral, dolphins, and a very curious area with many rocks of various shapes, including the pirate rock. Seeing the rock gives the impression of being in the presence of a real pirate; it has the shape of a head, an eye patch, and other facial features similar to the pirate figures that appear in storybooks.
Visiting this park is a lovely and pleasant experience for nature lovers, diving enthusiasts, and those who enjoy tranquil beaches. The locals are warm and friendly, providing excellent service. During our visit, we managed to take a short tour in the area near the town. We set out in the morning because we wanted to see dolphins, and these friendly creatures decided to come out early as well, treating us to several acrobatic displays from several kilometers away. Since we were on a boat, it was difficult to take photos, and the best advice was to remain calm so as not to interrupt the display of these playful creatures of the sea. After the tour, we stayed at Playa Blanca, located a few kilometers from Las Maritas. I loved the sand on this beach; it's truly white, and the water is crystal clear. It was past midday, so we ate, rested, and returned to the beach to swim and relax on the sand. In the afternoon, we headed back home. Although it was a short trip and we stayed in one place, I enjoyed visiting Mochima again, enjoying its warm and refreshing waters and seeing the beautiful landscapes.
La región oriental de Venezuela posee hermosos destinos para los amantes de la naturaleza, playa, deportes acuáticos montaña y aventuras extremas, en esta ocasión les comparto un pequeño recorrido por los estados Anzoátegui, Nueva Esparta y Sucre que destacan por sus hermosas y exhuberantes playas, iniciamos el recorrido en el parque nacional Mochima, uno de los parques naturales más grande del país, se ubica entre los estados Anzoátegui y Sucre en la carretera nacional Cumaná - Puerto la Cruz, luego de recorrer varios kilómetros se hace un desvío hacia el pueblo de Mochima y en poco tiempo llegas al parque Nacional, el cual es amplio y a su vez se observa desde la carretera localizada en una zona alta al lado contrario del parque y converge con la cordillera de la costa formada por grandes masas de rocas y árboles, estas suelen provocar derrumbes en temporada de lluvia, lo cual imposibilita el paso y comunicación entre ambos estados.
El trayecto de la carretera ofrece hermosos paisajes costeros, pues se ubican varias playas además de las que están dentro del parque; entre ella Arapo, Arapito, Vallecito, Santa Cruz, playa Colorada, los Hicacos, entre otras, que son de fácil acceso por su ubicación cercana a la arteria vial, el parque Mochima cuenta con hospedaje, servicio de restaurante y los paseos en lancha, que son los más solicitados por los visitantes, también zonas de buceo; es una linda experiencia hacer el recorrido en lancha y visitar las playas, las que más me gustan son: Las Maritas, La Gabarra y Playa Blanca por su arena suave y y relajante que hace honor a su nombre, en el recorrido también puedes avistar corales, delfines y una zona muy curiosa con muchas rocas de variadas formas, entre ellas la del pirata, al ver la roca da la impresión de estar en presencia de un pirata real, tiene la forma de la cabeza, parche en el ojo y otros rasgos faciales, similares a las figuras de los piratas que aparecen en los libros de cuentos.
Visitar este parque es una linda y agradable experiencia para los amantes de la naturaleza, el buceo y playas tranquilas, los pobladores son personas cálidas y amables, que brindan una excelente atención, durante nuesta visita logramos hacer un pequeño recorrido, en la zona cercana al pueblo, salimos en horas de la mañana porque queríamos avistar delfines y estos simpáticos amigos decidieron salir también temprano y regalarnos varias piruetas a varios kilómetros, como íbamos en la lancha fue difícil tomar fotos y lo más recomendable era mantenernos tranquilos para no interrumpir la exhibición de estos juguetones del mar; luego de hacer el recorrido nos quedamos en playa Blanca, ubicada a pocos kilómetros de las Maritas, me gustó la arena de esta playa, es realmente blanca, y el agua cristalina, ya ha pasado el mediodía comimos descansamos y volvimos nuevamente a la playa, para bañarnos, relajarnos en la arena y en horas de la tarde regresar a casa; aunque fue un viaje corto y permanecimos en un solo lugar, me gustó visitar nuevamente Mochima, disfrutar sus cálidas y refrescantes aguas y ver los hermosos paisajes.
On our journey through the state of Nueva Esparta, we arrived at La Restinga Lagoon, a national park and one of the island's most important destinations for nature lovers. It's a vast area offering a variety of activities, including boat trips, kayaking, and observing a wide array of marine life. The park also has parking, shops, and restrooms. During the boat trip, you have the opportunity to see incredible wildlife such as seahorses and starfish, as well as various mangrove species that line the lagoon. The boat trip was a lot of fun, and we were able to get a close look at the mangrove roots and the animals that inhabit this ecosystem.
The island boasts many incredible destinations, but for nature lovers and those seeking protected areas where you can observe marine life, La Restinga is the perfect destination. It also offers services for the comfort of visitors. Another place we visited on the island was Puerto Cruz beach, which stands out for its large bay, white sand, and crystal-clear water. Generally speaking, it's a tranquil beach, ideal for those seeking relaxation by the sea and enjoying the island scenery. Several hotels are located nearby. On one side of the beach is a large hill, from which you can see much of the beach, its beautiful white sand, and the warm, crystal-clear water. The area also offers various accommodations for the comfort of those visiting this paradise. The beach is truly beautiful, and the view of the bay with the hill beside it is spectacular. It was a lovely tour of Margarita Island, which is known for its beautiful island beaches, most of them located near hotels and accommodations for the peace of mind of those who decide to visit this beautiful state bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea and explore its stunning tropical beaches.
En nuestro recorrido por el estado Nueva Esparta, llegamos a la laguna La Restinga, un parque nacional y uno de los destinos más importante de la isla,para quienes aman la naturaleza, es amplio y ofrece diferentes actividades; paseos en bote, kayak y observar una amplia variedad de fauna marina, cuenta con servicio estacionamiento, tiendas y baños, durante el paseo en bote tienes la posibilidad ver la increíble fauna como los caballitos y estrellas de mar, además variados ejemplares de manglares que bordean la laguna, el paseo en bote fue muy divertido y pudimos de ceca las raíces de los manglares y los animales que habitan en este ecosistema.
La Isla cuenta con increíbles destinos, pero para los amantes de la naturaleza y espacios protegidos donde puedas observar la fauna del mar, La Restinga es el destino perfecto, además ofrece servicios para la comodidad de los visitantes; otro lugar que visitamos en la isla fue la playa Puerto Cruz, que destaca por su gran bahía, arena blanca y agua cristalina, en líneas generales es una playa tranquila, ideal para quienes buscan relajarse relajarse en el mar y disfrutar del paisaje insular, muy cerca de ella se ubican en varios hoteles, a uno de los lados de la playa se encuentra un gran cerro, desde el cual puede observar gran parte de la playa, su hermosa arena blanca y la cálida agua cristalina, en el área se ubican también diversos alojamientos para la comodidad de quienes visitan este paraíso, la playa es realmente bonita y el paisaje de la bahía con el cerro al lado se ve espectacular, fue un lindo recorrido por la isla de Margarita, que destaca por sus hermosas playas insulares, la mayoría de ellas ubicadas cerca de hoteles y alojamientos para la tranquilidad de quienes deciden visitar este hermoso estado bañado por las aguas del mar Caribe y conocer sus hermosas playas tropicales.
During our visit to Cumaná, we explored the coastal strip along the perimeter avenue. This area is perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets and recreational activities with the family. It features a walking path, sports courts, a scenic overlook, and other amenities that make it a pleasant and comfortable space for families to enjoy together.
Our visit was in the afternoon, on a day with little sun, a cool breeze, and pleasant weather ideal for walks and admiring the sea with its waves gently rocked by the wind. This city is known for its warm beaches, which are easily accessible as they are located on the city's outskirts. You can get there by public transportation or private car. Both coastal areas are very close to the city center, and transportation is available daily. One beach is located on the national highway towards Carúpano, and the other beach area in the San Luis sector is located on the Cumaná-Puerto la Cruz national highway. The scenery in both areas is beautiful and perfect for enjoying with family and friends.
Durante nuestro recorrido por Cumaná visitamos la la cinta costera de la avenida perimetral, esta zona es perfecta para disfrutar en familia de los hermosos atardeceres y actividades recrerativas, pues cuenta con paseo aeróbico, canchas mirador, entre otros que lo convierten en un espacio agradable y cómodo para disfrutar en familia.
Nuestra visita fue en horas de la tarde, en un día con poco sol, fresca brisa y un clima agradable para hacer caminatas y contemplar el mar con las olas mecidas por el viento, esta ciudad resalta por sus cálidas playas, las cuales son de fácil acceso pues se ubican en el perímetro de la ciudad, para ir se puede utilizar el transporte público o automóvil particular, ambas zonas costeras se ubican muy cerca del centro urbano de la ciudad y hay servicio de transporte todos los días, la franja se ubica en la carretera nacional hacia Carúpano y la otra zona de playa en el sector San Luis, se ubica en la carretera nacional Cumaná -Puerto la Cruz, los paisajes en ambas áreas hermosos e ideales para disfrutar con familiares y amigos.
