A beautiful establishment inspired by traditional Aboriginal housing; The Bohío (Eng - Esp)
Hello friends, lovers of architecture and design, I wish you an excellent weekend. It is a pleasure to share a beautiful design inspired by the indigenous population of the country. It is a small village located in the rural area of Bolívar state, on the Ciudad Bolívar - Maripa national highway, where there are several buildings, including a large hut where a grilled meat market operates, and surrounding family homes, also with designs and shapes of traditional aboriginal dwellings.
The main place is a large hut with a palm roof and wooden columns, next to this are the homes and annexes of the families that manage the place, there is also a hot dog stand in front that operates at night, the place offers a variety of grilled meats, also next to this there is a cachapas and buns stand, made with corn and prepared at the moment, the place is open and consists of a triangular roof also with wooden columns and a concrete floor, a wooden table where you can see the utensils and implements used to prepare the cachapas, in the back we see another similar construction but with a reddish roof, the columns similar to those of the hut and on the roof a more pronounced triangle than the previous place, the food sales area is delimited by a fence with wooden columns and barbed wire, then we see a yellow construction where the box is located to cancel orders, after canceling we go to the tables of the hut to wait for the food, I must say that the meat was delicious and cooked to perfection, we accompanied it with guacamole and salad.
The bohío is located in an environment with large trees, which can be seen in the front and back, this area is characterized by its evergreen trees, but in the dry season, as seen in the photo, some lose their leaves and turn brown, my visit coincided with this season so the variety of colors in the leaves of the trees can be appreciated; in a close view of the bohío we observe its columns, chairs and the concrete floor, around this floor there is another floor also made of concrete to protect the bases of the bohío, according to information from a resident, the bohíos constitute the traditional dwellings of the aboriginal peoples of Venezuela and in their construction few materials are used which are found in nature; wood and palm, but currently some modern materials are used, they use cement for the floor, previously they only added a layer of mud which they let dry for several days and constituted the floor of this striking house.
Hola amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño les deseo un excelente fin de semana, es un placer compartir un lindo diseño inspirado en la población indígena del país, se trata de una pequeña aldea ubicada en la zona rural del estado Bolívar, carretera nacional Ciudad Bolívar - Maripa, donde se encuentran varias construcciones entre ellas un gran bohío donde funciona una venta de carne asada y a sus alrededores las casas familiares también con diseños y formas de las viviendas tradicionales aborígenes.
El local principal es un bohío grande con techo de palma y columnas de madera, al lado de este están las viviendas y anexos de las familias que administran el local, también hay al frente una venta de perros calientes que funciona en horas nocturnas, el local ofrece una variedad de carnes asadas en brasa, además al lado de este hay una venta de cachapas y bollos, elaborados con maíz y preparadas al momento, el local es abierto y consta de un techo de forma triangular igualmente con columnas de madera y piso de concreto, una mesa de madera donde se observan los utensilios e implementos utilizados para preparar las cachapas, en la parte posterior vemos otra construcción similar pero con el techo de color rojizo, las columnas similares a las del bohío y en el techo un triángulo más pronunciado que el local anterior, la zona de la venta de comida está delimitada por una cerca con columnas de madera y alambre de púas, luego vemos una construcción de color amarillo donde se ubica la caja para cancelar los pedidos, luego de cancelar nos dirigimos a las mesas del bohío a esperar la comida, debo decir que la carne estaba deliciosa y en su punto, la acompañamos con guasacaca y ensalada.
El bohío se ubica en un entorno con grandes árboles, los cuales se pueden observar en la parte delantera y posterior, esta zona se caracteriza por por sus árboles siempre verde, pero en la temporada de sequía, como se observa en la foto, algunos pierden las hojas y se tornan de color marrón, mi visita coincidió con esta temporada por lo cual se aprecia la variedad de colores en las hojas de los árboles; en una vista cercana del bohío observamos sus columnas, sillas y el piso de concreto, alrededor de este piso hay otro piso también de concreto para proteger las bases del bohío, según información de un residente, los bohíos constituyen las viviendas tradicionales de los pueblos aborígenes de Venezuela y en su construcción se emplean pocos materiales los cuales se consiguen en la naturaleza; madera y palma, pero actualmente se usan algunos de los materiales modernos, ellos utilizan cemento para el piso, anteriormente solo agregaban una capa de barro la cual dejaban secar por varios días y constituía el piso de esta llamativa vivienda.
The day of my visit, the sky was beautiful and cloudy, which contrasts well with the surroundings, creating a beautiful and charming landscape. Looking at the internal structure of the hut, we see the lattice of columns and beams that support the roof. It is formed by several circles in which palm trees are placed, held by beams that descend from the main column. The internal view of the roof is similar to a spider's web.
The parking lot is located in the front, under a large tree that provides shade and cool air. It is divided into two areas, one for cars and the other for motorcycles. Motorcycles are the main means of transportation in this area. There is also a small motorcycle repair shop.
El día de mi visita el cielo se veía hermoso y con muchas nubes lo cual contrasta muy bien con el lugar creando un lindo y encantador paisaje, observando la estructura interna del bohío vemos el entramado de columnas y vigas que dan soporte al techo, está formada por varios círculos en los cuales se van colocando las palmas sostenidas por las vigas que descienden desde la columna principal, la vista interna del techo es similar a una tela de araña.
El estacionamiento del local se ubica en la parte frontal, debajo de un gran árbol que ofrece sombra y frescura, este se divide en dos áreas una para los autos y otra para las motos, las motos constituyen el transporte principal en esta zona, además hay pequeño taller para reparar motos.
