Entre la pandemia y las condiciones del parque había sido difícil llegar hasta la segunda cueva ubicada en el parque del indio.
Between the pandemic and the conditions of the park, it had been difficult to reach the second cave located in the Indian Park.
The Cuevas del Indio Park is located on Avenida La Guairita, Caracas, Metropolitan District of Caracas, near the East Cemetery.
Las cuevas del indio es un parque con abundante vegetación. El espacio se presta para disfrutar en familia con los niños y también, con los amantes de las aventuras.
Si van en compañía de niños pequeños se puede conocer una parte del parque, visitar la primera cueva es posible. Sin embargo, subir hacia la segunda cueva yo no lo recomiendo así que estén pendientes de esos detalles.
Hay varias zonas que pueden ser exploradas. Ir con la mayor disposición es mi recomendación. Me salió un verso sin mucho esfuerzo ja,ja.
The Cuevas del Indio is a park with abundant vegetation. The space lends itself to enjoy with the family with children and also with adventure lovers.
If you go with small children you can visit a part of the park, visiting the first cave is possible. However, I do not recommend going up to the second cave, so be aware of those details.
There are several areas that can be explored. Go with the greatest willingness is my recommendation. I came up with a verse without much effort ha,ha.
Entré en compañía de mi esposo por el lado izquierdo del parque donde se encuentra una quebrada. En esta parte, aunque la vista es hermosa, no se recomienda hacer uso del agua que corre por la cascada. Solo sentir el olor nos dice que es agua contaminada.
Decidimos iniciar el recorrido por ese lado porque nos habían recomendado observar el lugar donde nace el riachuelo. Al decir verdad, me sentí algo temerosa. Ese camino se presta para conseguir animales peligrosos como serpientes. El silencio allí me aturdió.
I went in with my husband on the left side of the park where there is a creek. In this part, although the view is beautiful, it is not recommended to use the water that runs through the waterfall. Just the smell of the water tells us that it is contaminated water.
We decided to start the tour on that side because we had been recommended to observe the place where the stream begins. To tell the truth, I felt a little fearful. That path lends itself to dangerous animals such as snakes. The silence there stunned me.
Entre las hojas caídas y ramas secas encontré un mil pies desplazándose por la zona. Aproveché de hacer unas tomas antes de perderlo de vista.
Obviamente, tomé cierta distancia porque desconozco si es tóxico. Mejor tomar precauciones.
Among the fallen leaves and dry branches I found a thousand-footer moving through the area. I took the opportunity to take a few shots before I lost sight of it.

Sobre las piedras ubicadas en el agua miles de ranitas saltan de un lado a otro. Este es el lugar perfecto para ellas.
Durante la caminata por ese espacio podemos pisar alguna de ellas, se esconden bajo las hojas secas y entre el pantano.
Gracias a su agilidad pueden escapar de una pisada, sin embargo, por la cantidad de especies habitando allí, cualquier cosa puede ocurrir.
Thousands of little frogs jump from one side to the other on the stones located in the water. This is the perfect place for them.
During the walk through this space we can step on some of them, they hide under the dry leaves and in the swamp.
Thanks to their agility they can escape from a step, however, because of the number of species living there, anything can happen.
Cruzamos el riachuelo para caminar sobre tierra más firme. Me seguía invadiendo el miedo porque las ramas estaban muy cerca, cualquier otro animal podía sorprender allí.
Caminamos unos 100 metros y tristemente tropezamos con un perezozo bebé que había caído desde lo alto. Su abdomen aún se mantenía suave pero ya no había nada que hacer, estaba muerto.
Me dio mucho dolor ver al perezozo allí tendido. La postura del animalito me daba la impresión de estar dormido o quizá adolorido esperando ayuda. Si hubiésemos llegado unos minutos antes...
We crossed the creek to walk on firmer ground. I was still overcome with fear because the branches were so close, any other animal could surprise us there.
We walked about 100 meters and sadly stumbled upon a baby sloth that had fallen from above. Its abdomen still kept me soft but there was nothing to do, it was dead.
It gave me a lot of pain to see the sloth lying there. The animal's posture gave me the impression that it was asleep or perhaps in pain waiting for help. If we had arrived a few minutes earlier....
Cien metros más de caminata y listo, nos devolvimos, no llegamos al lugar hermoso que me habían descrito, el miedo no me dejó. Quizá en otra oportunidad regrese pero esta vez, no quise continuar por ese lado, no me sentí segura.
Salimos e iniciamos la ruta de las cuevas. El parque está en muy buenas condiciones para llegar hasta al menos la primera de ellas. El camino plano y despejado nos llevó rapidamente hasta el lugar.
A hundred meters more of walking and that was it, we turned back, we did not reach the beautiful place that had been described to me, fear did not let me. Maybe another time I will return but this time, I did not want to continue on that side, I did not feel safe.
We left and started the route to the caves. The park is in very good condition to reach at least the first of them. The flat and clear road took us quickly to the place.
Decidimos no hacer la parada allí sino continuar hacia la segunda cueva luego vendríamos a esta. Seguimos disfrutando el camino, algunas partes aún tiene mucho monte pero en general se puede subir tranquilamente.
Tal y como señalé al inicio, ya había venido a este parque pero no había podido llegar hasta la cueva del indio por las condiciones reales del espacio durante la pandemia.
We decided not to stop there but to continue to the second cave and then we would come to this one. We continued to enjoy the road, some parts are still very hilly but in general you can climb quietly.
As I pointed out at the beginning I had already come to this park but I had not been able to get to the Indian's cave because of the actual conditions of the space during the pandemic.
¡Llegamos! A buena hora. Emocionante nuestra llegada a la planada con dirección hacia la cueva del indio. Comenzamos el descenso porque para llegar hasta allá el camino es así, en bajadas para entrar a una especie de túnel de aproximadamente 120 metros de longitud y su entrada se abre a unos 1.020 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Maravillosas montañas de piedras caliza me cargaron de energía y buena vibra. Hermoso momento. Siempre es grato para mí lograr los objetivos propuestos. Cada vez que llego a un paraíso como este mi emoción no se describe.

Aunque no todo el final fue perfecto, conocí la ruta y parte de la cueva. El retorno fue precipitado porque fuertes truenos anunciaban tempestad, debíamos salir de allí de inmediato.
Un grupo de personas venían saliendo emocionados de la cueva, el guía aceleraba el paso, hacía llamados para acelerar el paso, entre todos nos ayudamos para subir más rapido.
Creo que ha sido el descenso más rápido en mi historia como senderista ja,ja,ja. Gracias a Dios no llovió sino más tarde. Regresaré por esas fotografías que aún me faltaron por tomar.

Pronto les traeré más información y fotografías sobre este viaje. Si desean vivir la aventura no dejen de llevar ropa cómoda, linterna, celulares bien cargados, agua, algo de frutas y ganas de caminar. Ir en grupo y en compañía de expertos siempre será la mejor opción.

Un detalle importante, cuando hagas este tipo de reseña, siempre es importante explicar dónde están ubicadas las cosas. Porque lo más probable es que el que llegué a tu post, no tenga idea de dónde eres y aún sabiendo que es Venezuela, podría ser en cualquier parte.

Creo que describí la emoción que me embargó en las primeras horas del día. Tomar nuevas rutas siempre genera vacíos en el estómago ja,ja,ja.
Llegando a la seriedad del asunto di detalles de este paseo porque no podemos ser tan confiados en estos espacios de alta vegetación y humedad, es importante saber cómo y cuáles son las condiciones de lugar.
Ahorita está 85% recuperado, eso me genera mucha alegría, está abierto al público y los guías siempre dispuestos a apoyar.
