Flowers & Buildings & Buildings with flowers

Last week has been very frustrating indeed. And at the same time very productive - until I came down with a cold. Then the productivity kind of stopped, naturally. Honestly, I didn't take many pictures during the week. Until Saturday. Saturday I took a looooooot of pictures because we went to an incredibly beautiful space.

Honestly, since I was so productive in the first half of the week, I didn't mind being sick and kind of lazy. I had done my deed. And my body was shouting at me, and when that happens, one better listens.

I had a great conversation with my friend in Serbia. About compassion, and how difficult it is. Because some humans really do not invite compassion at all, quite the contrary. My thought about it was that compassion can only be "good" when it comes from a place of truthfulness and coherence. When it's genuine. Helping someone I dislike wholeheartedly because their values/principles are very different from mine is not genuine if I do it to gather merit or something like that.

Quite the opposite I'd say. It's a waste of energy, because it's more difficult to do something that goes against ones convictions. That energy would be better spend practicing compassion with someone we deem worthy of such.

Especially animals I'd say. Compassion with the innocent is important. They're not conscious of their actions as most humans are. They follow their instincts and what they've learned. True, there are many humans like that these days. But most of those humans have the possibility to be conscious.

The place we went was a plateau. There are quite a few, as you can see on the picture above. The one there was a fertile one. Where we went, it took them many years to make the soil capable of producing. And they somehow managed to turn it into a paradise. It's a tourism place, but also private property, so a mix between open and closed.

It was the first time that I really wanted to use the panorama feature from my camera. I hope it turns out well here on hive, because it is quite stunning indeed. It was around 150° that I turned. The views were just spectacular, in case I didn't mention that 😜

I saw this little critter moving. Or maybe I just heard it. But I snuck around the bush and squint my eyes until I found it. Very good camouflage! I had to zoom in around 10x so he would be visible.

Now, that's it for today for last week. I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
