Am I living Half-Life?
Waking up this morning was particularly strange. I hadn't slept very well - the situation with my daughter is starting to wear on me - and also had a long day in front of me, creating a cost calculator for NuevoSol.co, as they're restructuring the whole company after the owner died almost exactly one year ago. Since Lily is not with me, I have way too much time on my hands, and I like to use that time productively in the benefit of others (and me, win-win-win is my goal always). Helping others is something Lily would want me to do with the time I don't spend with her, as she's very proud of that.

"I'm glad my father is not like that. He helps women a lot. He gave many women and their children bread for free when the strike happened." That's what a friend overheard her telling her mom on 25th of November, when her mother tried to explain her why that a day for the elimination of violence against women was necessary. And yes, of course I cried a little out of happiness when my friend told me that. Who wouldn't want their daughter to notice those little things, and be proud of their father?

Anyway. When I looked outside after this weird night, the sky was weird. The clouds didn't fit reality. It was like in a computer game back in the days. I used different lenses (the ones my so wonderful cellphone has) to play with it, but the feeling never really went away.

I looked into all directions just to make sure - a pleasure always, I mean, I live between two mountains that provide a stunning view almost every day. If you go through my snaps, you'll find way too many pictures of them. It's just that feeling that they're different every day.

Okay, but back to the weird clouds. They do look pretty Half-Life above the "frame" of the unfinished building next door (not that the one that I rent is finished...).

And finally, Mt. Imbabura. I did the 0,5x Fish Eye directly, because it just called for it. I really love this picture, with he San Francisco church (which I don't like really) and all those levels of rooftops. If I press shift and then space, I could probably jump that far... Those who know, know 😉

The PeakD preview is weird today, but I hope all the pictures made it. Going to the Jamsession now. Sorry about the misleading title! Just saw that one could expect some profound reflections here. Not today. My brain is fried from 7h Excel calculations... Have a good night!
As always, any feedback and especially tips and tricks are very welcome! As long as it's not AI generated content or comment spamming... 😅
Thank you for stopping by!
All pictures are taken by myself with a Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I reserve the copyright - but you're welcome to ask if you'd like to use one of the pics!
How gratifying for you that Lily expressed such pride in you, as well as reassuring for her to have a parent to be proud of. It seems your parenting skills are at least as good as your photography:)
