Delightful Sunday with delayed Easter Lamb

( EN / DE ) Easter in July, that's something different, isn't it? We celebrate Easter every year with a meanwhile traditional family feast, where a lamb is grilled.
This Easter, however, the weather was so bad on both Sundays that we decided to postpone it. The farmer from whom the lamb comes has frozen it in his cold storage and kept it for us. The weeks went by, the weather slowly got better but again and again one or the other family member didn't have time. (And the farmer was getting pissed LOL)
Ostern im Juli, das ist doch mal was anderes oder? Wir feiern Ostern ja jedes Jahr mit einem mittlerweile schon traditionellen Familien Fest, bei dem ein Lamm gegrillt wird.
Diese Ostern jedoch war das Wetter an beiden Sonntagen so schlecht, dass wir beschlossen es zu verschieben. Der Bauer von dem das Lamm stammt hat es in seinem Kühlhaus eingefroren und für uns aufbewahrt. Die Wochen zogen vorbei, das Wetter wurde zwar langsam besser aber immer wieder hatte das ein oder andere Familienmitglied keine Zeit. (Und der Bauer wurde langsam sauer LOL)

Today it was finally time and the weather was perfect, beautiful summer warm, the blue sky beamed at us.
Nun heute war es endlich soweit und das Wetter dafür war perfekt, wunderschön sommerlich warm, der blaue Himmel strahlte uns an.

This takes several hours to finally finish grilling and it was really perfect again this year to the point, my brother-in-law did very well. For one or the other may still look too raw, but that was only the inner part and therefore very juicy and delicious.
Das dauert mehrere Stunden, bis es endlich fertig gegrillt ist und es war dies Jahr wirklich wieder perfekt auf den Punkt, das hat mein Schwager sehr gut gemacht. Für den ein oder anderen mag das noch zu roh aussehen, aber das war nur der innere Teil und dieser war dafür sehr saftig und lecker.

Accompanied as always by my sister's legendary bread and fine Greek farmer's salad, tzatziki, feta and ollives. So with these summer temperatures today this felt a little like a Greece vacation! Dazu wie immer das legendäre Brot meiner Schwester und feinen griechischen Bauernsalat, Tsatsiki, Feta und Olliven. Das war heute also mit diesen sommerlichen Temperaturen wie ein kleiner Griechenland Urlaub! Und daher wunderbar geeignet für einen Sublimesunday und Beautifulsunday post hier in die FoodPorn Community, wo Fotos von leckerem Essen ja sehr gut hin passen.

It was wonderful to see the entire family from the youngest to the very oldest happily together at the same table.
Es war wundervoll die gesamte Familie von den Kleinsten bis zu den Ältesten fröhlich gemeinsam an einem Tisch zu sehen.
