She's jasmine
I caught my man talking to Jasmine a few days ago, chatting her up and telling her how nice she was looking, and I didn't even get jealous, I thought it was kind of cute actually. Besides, she really was, and is, looking cute.
Jasmine is our, not so creatively named, jasmine vine and she's just starting to bloom. She's early to be honest, but our weather has caused nature to do some odd things lately so I'm not at all surprised. I don't mind either, she looks so pretty and her scent is divine.
Today I cut a small sprig, it's ok, I asked her first, and took a few pictures before putting the blooms into a little vase which I placed on my bedside table. I love bringing the outdoors indoors, it extends my enjoyment of my garden and nature itself.
I've been missing being out in the garden, the bad weather has prevented it, although I've been out here and there to spend a little time with my plants where possible. It was on one of those occasions when I caught my guy talking to Jasmine...I think he misses the garden too and took advantage of the break in the weather to go and say hello to our plant-friends. He's a cool guy really, not one you'd expect to do such things, but one who certainly does, and I love that about him, how connected to nature he is.
These are the images I took and despite not turning out at all like I'd planned I think they're suitable to share here with the community. I'll get to enjoy the real thing as jasmine continues to bloom and before long I'll be back in the garden on glorious sunny days spending time with my guy and our plant friends.

I love jasmine, it is one of my favourite flowers, their scent is very special and they are really beautiful.
The shots are great, I like all of them and especially the focus of the second one.
You are very blessed, not only for nature but for having someone by your side who likes nature.
A big hug Becca.❤️
It's such a pretty little flower and the scent is amazing. I love its simplicity.
I hope your week has been nice so far, and the heat has dissipated.

My thoughts exactly, beauty and simplicity.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, I went for a 2 hour walk and today is a family day, beautiful days.
Thank you very much Becca.❤️
Thanks for sharing! Too bad there's no way to share the smell. hahhaa
Thank you so much. I think my photos aren't that special, but sometimes there's beauty in simplicity and certainly jasmine is a beautiful flower. Oy was enjoyable to take the photos and share them here.

I have a neighbor that i do yardwork for and she has some Jasmine growing on her fence. I get the pleasure of smelling the Jasmine while i work in her yard. It's been a favorite of mine for a few years. It's a manifestation of a song i grew up loving for the summer time!
This is a remake of an older Isley Brothers song. Both versions are very good... and whenever i think of or smell Jasmine that song comes to mind. Your shots were really good and sometimes less is more when it comes to quality.
It's such a beautiful scent and I always open up the house and let it in.
Now, that song...it's a little heavy for me...Here's a different Summer Breeze. Seals and Croft did a version too.
Talking to flowers is something I first saw in my mother, she still does it when she can. I notice that the more she talks to them, the prettier they get and when for some reason she stops, they are still beautiful, but something is missing.
I know of some plants from her, my mother, however, even though she has had a lot of species, she has never had a jasmine. Yours looks very pretty.
There's studies that show the benefit of talking to plants and how it helps them grow. I don't know if it's true but it feels right to talk to them and make me happy.
Have you ever smelled the fragrance of jasmine? I hope so, it's wondrous.

No, I've never smelled the fragrance of jasmine, I think I've been missing out on something really great. I already have 2 special reasons to look for a jasmine:
To know its scent.
To give a gift to my mother.
Regarding the studies that have been done to determine the effects of talking to plants I wouldn't doubt that they have had beneficial results as I told you, I have seen it in my mother's relationship with her plants.
I believe that I can be a double therapy, both for the plants and for the human who cares for them with love.
Jasmines are such lovely flowers and look absolutely pretty in bloom. I think it's lovely of you to share these pictures (with her able permission, of course). Looking forward to more of these beauties from you.🌻🌺
There's so many different varieties of jasmine and I love them all; pretty little things and the fragrance is amazing, especially at dawn and dusk.

They look extremely elegant in side table but again ask them 😁
They're lovely flowers with a beautiful scent. Have you had the chance to smell them?
