A day to always remember

Yesterday was another memorable day for me and my brothers and sisters from another family, if you have heard about Jehovah's Witnesses, we are one big family worldwide and we love ourselves so much, we often gather together for spiritual food three times a year and those selected days are special days to us and that's is exactly what yesterday was to anyone who attended the occasion.

How it started
Not how we started gathering, but how yesterday started, yesterday started the day before, which was Friday.
Yes, I woke up very early on Friday and went to my hair stylist to get my hair done because I don't just want to look good, but I want to feel good so I spent three hours getting my hair done.

Done making my hair, what next?
I rushed down to the market to get myself a new bag and a fitting shoe for it, on every occasion such as the assembly I love gifting myself with new brands of clothes and shoes, it makes me feel good* and that's a little way of appreciating myself for my hard work.

Coming back from the market took hours due to heavy traffic but I wasn't worried at all because I have my new shoe and bag, the joy that I can give myself something surpassed the stress of sitting in a bus for hours.

I went to bed by 9:30pm on Friday, because I have to wake very early on Saturday morning for the program, getting to the location for the program takes two hours without traffic then more hours when there is traffic so there is need to leave home very early.
I woke up by 4:30am, rushed into the kitchen to get breakfast ready and packed it up, I reached out to my friends and in the next 30 minutes we were all set to leave, we left home by 5:30am.

There were some roadblocks due to a marathon race hosted in LAGOS STATE so we had to take an unusual route to get to our location, it too us more time than usual but finally we got there earlier.

I took beautiful pictures with my friends, I saw lots of friends I never saw for a very long time, we took lots and lots of pictures, unfortunately I don't have permission to share those pictures on hive, but it was a beautiful day we created lots of memories.

During break time we had lunch, we had rice and stew, with salads and different types of drinks like carbonated drinks, hibiscus drink and many more.

The lunch break lasted for 45mins or more and everyone went back to their sit for afternoon section, we were feed with delicious spiritual meals, we were refreshed as Jehovah's servants.

It was evening and we were on our way back, the traffic was heavy and we spent over four hours on the road, I saw a different phase of life, those hawking drinks and other things in the traffic, I felt for them, some have to run two to three pools just to sale a bottle water, I saw reasons to be more grateful for life and every good gift from my Heavenly Father.

It was fun because I got some photos of Lagos at night, we got home, tiredness was my second name at that point, I undressed, took my bath and "boooooom" I went to bed.
