The Fantabulous Fran

"Get in the ring"

My good mate @richgaynor had previously worked with Fran and as soon as I saw his shots, thought that she was somebody I would really like to work with. Rich got a day sorted out at a mutual friend's studio. First impression was how small she is in "real life". She looks so tall in all the shots I've seen of her (and no, it's not just the skyscraper high heels she wears - she just seems quite imposing).

"One in a million"

I think a lot of it is because she really is an "in your face" model. Not shy, Very confident and super friendly. Even before I started shooting, it was like we had known each other for so long. And, in my opinion, that comes across in most shots I have seen of her. She really is larger than life.

"Don't Damn Me"
We did a couple of sets (there were two other photographers - Rich and studio owner Emrys) so she was at it for around five hours in total, with at least as many outfit changes. And she was still as fresh and ebullient at the end of the shoot (at least at the point I keft) as she was when she first arrived at the studio.

"Ain't it fun"

I didn't really get the shots I had planned (that happens so many times) but at least I came away with some images that I was happy with, and seemingly so is Fran. So I class that as a result. And we're already planning shoot #2 So who knows...

You may have guessed, for some bizarre reason, not even known to myself, I decided to title each of the images with a track by.... (answers on a postcard - or alternatively pop it in the comments below. No Googling!).

I love these shots! I also wanted to give you a heads up that OCD the group i curate for that upvotes high-quality and under-rewarded content and authors has decided to no longer curate authors that post on Steemit and Blurt. Your posts are usually underrewarded but i nominate your stuff for OCD upvotes from time to time and i just wanted you to know. You can and will still be curated and featured in the Photography Lovers Community HotShot curation posts.

Hi @castleberry
your support is always welcome my friend.
I'm not sure I completely understand what you're saying - Hive still baffles the hell out of me.
I use PeakD for creating my posts and don't really know what Steemit or Blurt are. Are they another way of posting like PeakD and Ecency?
But thank you for your support thus far, it is very much appreciated.

Yes, Blurt is another frontend like Hive.blog and Peakd.com. Blurt doesn't allow downvotes which can screw up the rewards pool. https://blurt.blog/@bbphotography That link there is Blurt.

I don't understand Hive completely myself to be honest. Steemit was the original blockchain frontend built on the Steem blockchain. Hive hardforked from that after a hostile takeover and a lot of theft.

Thanks @castleberry for clearing that up. Just when I think I am getting somewhere with Hive, along comes something that I don't understand (but then again, it doesn't take much to confuse me 😂.

I know exactly how you feel there. If you don't use or continue to use Blurt then i can still nominate you in the future for OCD curation.
