Cobra Warrior
German Tornado
Cobra Warrior runs every two years (although the pandemic knocked it back a year this time). Its a multi national exercise (mainly) working out of RAF Waddington, and features aircraft from The UK, Germany, Italy and the USA (although the USAF work out of their own base at RAF Lakenheath).
Italian Eurofighter
Six Italian Eurofighters (Typhoons) and six German Tornados have been based at RAF Waddington as part of the exercise, which is to enhance interoperability between the NATO nations. Aside from the very important role this exercise plays in the training and aiding in future planning, it is also a "Mecca" for aviation enthusiasts.
German Tornado
This year's exercise has been no different. Enthusiasts from all over the UK and some from further afield have congregated to watch and photograph the departures and arrivals. So, of course, I wanted to be there and get some shots (especially of the German Tornadoes, as the RAF Tornadoes have all been de-commissioned, they are now a rare sight).
Italian Eurofighter
Cobra Warrior runs for three weeks (although it was delayed for one day out of respect for rhe passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Today was my first chance to get up and get some shots, but hopefully I will managed another visit before it ends next week.
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.

@teamuksupport many thanks
Great shots mate... I'm hoping to get up there on Thursday morning for a few hours, just for the Tornado's
Other than the lame celebration flight a few years ago I haven't got images of them in flight at all (my photography
hobbyobsession started pretty much after all the cool stuff stopped flying)@dannewton for some reason, "the lame celebration flight" (and wasn't it just a waste of everyone's time) are the only shots I have of Tornados too. And mine, if I'm being kind to myself, were totally unremarkable, so was really happy to get some shots I like.
Hope you manage to get up there buddy, if you do, I am sure you will get some crackers, which I will look out for.
