It's gardening time!

Today is gardening day!

Hello, fellow gardening enthusiasts! Some time ago, my father informed me that my uncle had received chili seedlings distributed by the local government to assist interested farmers. He mentioned that there were plenty of chili seedlings ready to be planted and available at my uncle's place. I was quite thrilled to hear this news because it meant I could get high-quality seedlings for free.

This morning, as usual, my mom and dad were supposed to go work in their rubber plantation. Normally, my father leaves around seven in the morning and returns around eleven, but this morning he was unusually eager and urged us to help him fill polybags that he had obtained while picking up the chili seedlings.

Not wanting to waste any time, he quickly selected the soil and started digging, while the rest of the family, except for me, pitched in to fill the numerous polybags. Fortunately, I had already cleaned the land we intended to use for planting some time ago. Initially, I had planned to grow vegetables there, but the land was forcefully taken over to plant chilies. Funny how things turned out, isn't it?

While they were busy filling polybags, I worked alone on the other side.

Do you remember the small garden I started a few days ago? Well, I plan to expand it into a larger garden by adding more plants there. Since the land I originally planned to use had been taken for planting chilies, I shifted my focus to the land on the other side that belongs entirely to me. I'll manage it according to my own wishes.

There, I found spinach seedlings that I had sown. With a little water and soil, they finally started to grow!

While my family was busy filling polybags, I cleared the area of wild grass that had grown thick. This land is rarely touched, so the grass grows vigorously. Besides clearing the land, I also made trellises for my butternut squash using bamboo that I had collected the day before. Despite getting bitten by mosquitoes while gathering the bamboo from the forest around my house, I remained spirited.

Apart from making trellises, I also planted some flowers along the edges of my garden, which will serve as a natural fence. I also began making some raised beds for planting vegetables. Today, I managed to finish one raised bed, and I might complete the rest tomorrow. It's exhausting to start from scratch, but I thoroughly enjoy every activity in my new garden.

We spent the whole day in the garden, and I'm proud to see how many polybags they filled and seedlings they planted. Planting is done for today, and we're ready to take care of these plants, hoping they grow as expected. See you in the next update!
