On the sand.

The phrase "on the sand" is very similar to real life: be where, be when.

You can warm your bones on the sand in the summer and build a sand castle. While it may not be particularly stable, it allows us to express our creativity and spend time, at least in some useful way.

It's difficult to talk about anything fundamental while sitting on the sand, but any foundation rests on a sand cushion. It's strange, then, that support comes from something that is inherently unstable.

I think the power of sand, and grains of sand in particular, is underestimated.
