My very real but fictional journeys - Living on the edge -A bumpy road to the past.

Sometimes when I'm driving down a very bumpy road and my car is screaming and begging with every fiber for mercy I want to tell it that there are more difficult roads more bumpy ones.

Usually this does not help, not for my car which often went after such a road for repairs nor for me because I paid for this repair.

But it was funny to remember the bumpy roads through which probably not only my childhood lay.

It can be said that I spent half of my childhood in the office of the design institute where a very diverse audience worked standing over their drawing boards and sometimes you could only hear the pencil lead creaking crumbling along the edge of the drawing board on the snow-white drawing paper.

Yes in those days no one could assume that all this could be done on a computer monitor such a word was not even practiced, somewhere in some building one could find huge computers the size of a railway car.

I am surprised that I found the opportunity to run into the forest for mushrooms in the early morning before I had to go to school or to collect medicinal plants which I dried and gave to the pharmacy but after school the day turned into boredom I was at work with my mother and doing homework it was very boring.

As I wanted to say to all those present then what do I think about them because when I appeared there everyone cared about me and everyone tried to turn my personal space inside out.

Everyone and everything knew about me my every step and every mistake and I wanted them all to evaporate in an instant all the advisers who advised my mother on what to do in this or that situation.

This is what what I call life on the edge already then I determined for myself a place that does not intersect with what is called society.

Remembering those days I decided to draw a funny picture which surprisingly very accurately conveys the atmosphere of forty years ago.

So using graphite pencils I decided to recreate a day from my past.

I decided to try to remember what the layout was in that office how the furniture was arranged what its texture was even the people in the picture are from those times.

To be honest with all the seeming simplicity of the drawing as it seemed to me initially, it took me a huge chunk of time there were too many details that I wanted to depict as they really were in the 80s of the last century.

I would get to work then leave it to her and switch to other drawings but after a month or two I finished painting.

In theory without raising my head one could draw this drawing in twelve hours but I draw when there is inspiration if it disappears I try not to touch the pencils.

So my journey into the past is complete.
