Monochrome photo for every day my personal photo challenge - 12/30/2023 - Issue - No.110 + a modest competition for everyone who wants to share a monochrome photograph.
For me this is a challenge, but for you, it can be a simple and easy read, or it can become a competition which you can read about below.
At first glance it may seem strange that people keep exotic species of plants and animals in their homes rather than those that live around their home.
It sounds like being dissatisfied with what you have lol but that's not entirely true.
Our world is structured in such a way that outside of nature it is much easier to keep exotics in your home than those species of flora and fauna that live in your climate zone at least this is the case in our geographical latitude.
You won't see an aquarist keeping perch roach crucian carp or pike perch in his aquarium but exotic fish can be seen from all corners of our planet from the Amazon to southeast Asia.
The fact is that cooling water is much more difficult and more expensive than heating it to the required temperature, and cold-loving fish species quickly die in captivity.
Likewise a palm tree is much easier to maintain in a house heated in winter than a birch or fir tree, which will quickly begin to dry out no matter how much you water them.
The only thing is that big desires require large rooms and high ceilings but this palm tree is quite comfortable away from its homeland.

This should be any monochrome photographic work; it does not necessarily have to be black and white, sepia and other variations are welcome, and it can also be monochrome photo collages.
