Simple toys - Kenya

(Edited)

This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes

We are in Ngurunit village, northern Kenya.

Children have fun with small and simple thing: a very old and used tire, a bow and arrow built by hand.
I will do other post about this village and culture.
I love them and I helped the main tribe living here buying some beautiful bracelets and rings made with beads, colorful and original!

Here a child in Rendille village.
Trees, animals and nature in general are in harmony with people. They know what we have forgotten: to respect nature (but this time I avoid the usual complaint about how hate many aspect of our western culture). On the right bottom, an iron cover beside the fire, usually used to cook food.

Here along the main sandy

road:

And finally children joking with me, showing the rudimental of hunting.

Thanks to my guides and friends Mauro and local guide and friend Shaddy who have organized this wonderful trip inside the heart of Africa!

Simple toys don't matter if you have good friends to play with and enjoy spending time with.

When the pictures are converted to black and white, their beauty is enhanced and the way you see the children looks so much happier. Your entry is best hopefully you will win this contest.

Son países de gente sencilla y humilde donde lo importante no es la tecnología sino la supervivencia, el agua, la luz son solo lo básico, ya internet y otras cosas son irrelevantes..

Many years ago I hitchhiked through Eritrea, Ethiopia and Kenya and I vividly remember crossing the border at Moyale and traveling down through Marsabit all he way down to Nairobi. These pics brought some memories flooding back of that time way back in 1993. 😃. Great shots!
