Qurator's Photo Quest | Birds...Fluffy poultry !

avatar

This is my late participation to Qurator's Photo Quest which theme is BIRDS

with these pictures taken recently at the countryside of impressive and beautiful hens

I love barnyard animals, especially chickens

we find magnificent and varied specimens...these have a splendid and well-furnished plumage since we are coming to the somewhat cold season,

and these plump ladies wear their shimmering feathers with a dignified elegance 😁

and of course we must not forget the beautiful males...

Short information; If a laying hen is well taken care of, he can make more than 300 eggs a year and starts to lay eggs when he reaches the average 20th week. A hen in natural nature lays about 15 eggs.
