Today, Thursday, April 25 2024, I went for an evening walk with my friends, then in the middle of the road, we found a banana plantation, then my friend and I stopped for a moment to look at the banana plantation. I took my camera and took a photo of the banana garden. to capture that beautiful moment with my friend.

Banana is the general name given to large herbaceous plants with large, elongated leaves that grow directly from the stem. Banana stems are soft because they are formed from layers of soft and long midribs.[1] The rather hard stems are at ground level. Bananas have stemmed leaves that are spread out with a tapered stem. The leaf size of each banana species also varies. Banana stalks flowers produce in large quantities. The flower part of a banana will form a fruit called a comb. Banana fruit is grouped in one compound flower with the size getting smaller as you go down.[2]

In taxonomy, bananas are included in the genus Musa and the family Musaceae.[2] Various species of banana are distributed in the Malesia region. The most widely cultivated banana species in the world is the forest banana. This type of forest banana can grow in forests, hills and lowlands.[3] Apart from that, bananas can also be planted together with other plants such as corn and cassava.[4]

Bananas can be harvested at any time, because their growth suits all seasons. The death of a banana tree only occurs when it bears fruit only once during its life.[3] Bananas can be eaten straight away or cooked first. The nutrients in bananas are beneficial for the health of the human body and can also be used as traditional medicine.[4]
Initially, bananas were native plants originating from Southeast Asia, then spread throughout the world. From the west, bananas spread from the Atlantic Ocean to the island of Madagascar then to the African continent and to Latin America and Central America. Meanwhile, bananas spread from the east through the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii.[5]
