Gold, Blue and Black (visual walk of 13 photos)

The sun has set, but it's not quite night yet. This hour is called blue and it should come after the golden one. I can assume that after the blue hour comes the black one... but don't be alarmed, it's only night.

Kazan Cathedral is very photogenic, but you should have a wide-angle lens with you. Otherwise, it will be difficult for you to put the whole cathedral in the frame. I did not lighten the photo so that you could fully feel this evening. However, you can consider the details: ... uh, it's the opposite, I'd rather put the light photo first (in the preview). And here it is more realistic.

In fact, the Kazan Cathedral was the end point of our walk, and it started from the Summer Garden. When the sun was almost down, we decided to leave it and find some coffee shop. And we went to Nevsky Prospekt.

I like the old part of town. You can just admire these houses. In those distant times, there was no standard development of residential areas. Each house has its own character.

Here you can wander for hours and you won't get bored (for sure), but the time comes and you want to eat... Here you can see Nevsky Prospekt at the end of the pedestrian street... us to the right and ...

I won't show what we ordered and ate...my hands were busy with a fork and knife. But I couldn't miss this poster from the Soviet era.

"It's time for everyone to try how delicious and tender crabs are" (the inscription on the poster)... back then, crabs were the usual food of students. Today it is more of a delicacy. Crab meat is mostly exported. The greed of the producers, or rather, their owners, is to blame for everything.

But let's not talk about sad things. You can have fun and eat delicious food without crabs :)
