Today, my son woke up with a gleam in his eye and a single demand: he wanted to indulge in the delights of the shabushi buffet. With a chuckle, I agreed, knowing that the 1-month school break was the perfect time for us to bond over shared activities.

As the clock struck noon, we set off towards the bustling heart of the city, where the familiar sight of Robinson Department Store stood near our house. The streets were alive with the energy of families and friends making the most of this precious break from the routine of school.

Upon reaching our destination, the department store's entrance was like a beehive that greeted us with a chorus of laughter and chatter. It seemed half the town had the same idea. The air buzzed with excitement, particularly from the younger ones, relishing the freedom of their break.

I tried to entice my son with the prospect of exploring something new, pointing out the array of restaurants that awaited us. Yet, his heart was set on Shabushi, and his determination was unwavering. Chuckling to myself, I obliged, secretly pleased at his unwavering passion.

Just a month prior, I had embarked on a similar culinary escapade, this time with my eldest son at Central Department Store. It had been a delightful experience, one that we still reminisced about fondly. Now, it was my youngest son's turn to step into this world of conveyor belt shabu buffet.

As we settled into our seats, I watched his eyes widen with wonder at the parade of dishes gliding by on the rotating belt. His curiosity and enthusiasm were palpable, infecting the air around us with a contagious energy. Following our hearty meal, we decided to take a leisurely stroll to help settle the delicious feast we'd just enjoyed. The cool breeze outside was refreshing, and it felt good to stretch our legs.
