Phuket Old Town in the Chinese New Year: A Walk Through Decorated Streets

The Chinese New Year festival was approaching and the streets of Phuket Old Town were adorned with red lanterns. The yellow clock intersection was particularly striking, with three colorful rabbits on display. These rabbits were symbols of this year and were large and cute. At this intersection, there was also a big pink bear that was supposed to be removed, but due to its popularity among tourists, it had yet to be taken away.

I started my tour at the yellow clock intersection and began walking around the old quarter. Each road seemed to lead to different parts of the town and as I walked, I noticed that the weather was perfect. I continued on until I reached Soi Rommanee, where I came across a cafe decorated with pink flowers. Usually, this cafe would be packed with tourists but this morning, it was completely empty. I took advantage of the lack of people and spent some time taking pictures with the flowers.

After leaving the cafe, I continued on to Dragon Courtyard. The streets were quiet and peaceful, and the decorations added a festive touch to the area. It was a perfect way to start the Chinese New Year, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for the celebrations to come.
